Reminds me of the double deckers I rode growing up in Sydney Australia. They were exactly the same as the ones in London, as I found out years later when I went to London. Probably made by the same company. These buses make so much sense. Glad AC Transit got smart. And the view from up top, up front was always a thrill for me. I’m sure riders of these new buses agree.
But even a regular bus takes up less than the 60+ cars that it replaces. It's important to remember that the absolute congestion inducing champion is still the single occupancy car! By comparison a single decker vs a double decker bus is a rounding error.
Well, semis are taller and they fit just fine. In fact the lower deck of the Bay Bridge was designed only for trains (Key System) and trucks when the bridge first opened. It was only later reconfigured to take away the train and truck lanes for cars.
Our downtown's unnecessarily clogged by suburban buses so, come 2021, they're replacing most of them with the advent of complementary metro service here (suburban express, not our city one). What's spent on your glorified bus station there's affording us half of our 26 sealed stations along 42 miles of freshly unobstructed route 🍺
Montreal...although the on-going, globalising medical TYRRANY is tidily prescribing dormancy upon all of its construction sites..plus the outright closure of this confederacy's last, remaining electric railway (for the conclusive -conversion- demotion to driverless railway _au style_ London-Docklands) has been suspended now a second time around (the first suspension occurred the Twelfth Day of Xmas [2020], because passenger committees clamoured for substantial supplementary service during the forthcoming two-year absence of rail service into and out of our city centre). Queer, because the advent of WWI is what'd brought on the sandhogs' delay at boring its (now-) 102-year-old tunnel under the mountain...plus our country's first-ever rapid transit cars - the delivery constituted just eight (8) cars - bears some wartime legacy of stray shipment, for their whereabouts still remain unknown.
@@qjtvaddict There was supposed to be a decision last month about what type of rail shall soon come to ply the Notre-Dame Street East corridor. Its ROW's been enacted since the early-80s: shall it become San Diego Trolley-esqueness or one of the next REM phases, choosiness altogether of the either-or calibre.
So glad to see this new transit center open again! Now we wait... for trains...
And wow. What a great view from the bus into SF! :)

MusicalElitist1 are you referring to the new AC buses or do you mean the ones I rode in Sydney?
Makes sense if the ones in Sydney came from the UK.
both manuefactered by enviro. sydney, san fran, and london use enviro buses.
Man o' man, San Fran have really outdid themselves with Salesforce Center.
Me, I blame meddlesome big business.
yeah the park is beautiful, 3 layers of bus, and eventually a bart train connection :D
it's such a nice place to be
Finally they replaced MCI fleet’s of AC Transit and the Enviro 500MMC looks dope.
After all these years they've learnt a lesson from British road congestion that double-deckers take up half the space on the road.

Man, great video! I was staying in this area back in February at the Roadway Inn across the street from this bus stop.
Nice view and infrastructure of the area
That was such an enjoyable video. Thank you for uploading this! 💥
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the upload
Man I wish Pace Suburban Bus had these buses for their express routes
7AM is crazy
Transit Center is so clean. For how long?
Noe Berengena there's a ton of security there and there's no seating in the main floor of the transit center so you can't really loiter
As long as it’s there, unlike the old Transbay terminal, you won’t see any litter in there.
It closes at a certain time of the night
still never dirty, every layer is squeaky clean!
@@ladder3257 Glad to hear it. Thanks for the report. A lot of money went into that.
Does the Double Decker Bus fit on the lower deck of the bridge or does it have to take a lap around the entire bay to get back?
Nope it fits on the lower deck as well.
it fits on the lower deck. 2 reasons it would
1. ive seen it
2. why the hell would they even use it at that point

Is the bus driving in the middle of the road? Do they have to do that? Why not in one lane?

Express buses should stay in the suburbs as crosstown rapid transit to link with train service
