  • This video is a job we did to repair the worn out main pivot positions on a tilt bucket and hitch for a Komatsu PC350 Excavator. This shows the step by step process to repair the bushing positions by line boring and bore welding using our Sir Meccanica WS2 portable line boring machine. After the positions are repaired we install the new flange-faced bushes using liquid nitrogen. We also show the steps to do a floating pin upgrade on the bucket then complete the job by putting the hitch and bucket together and install the floating pin.
In this video we are using:
    - Sir Meccanica WS2 Portable line boring machine
    - WIA 500i Weldmatic welder
    - Hafco TM-27120G Lathe
    - Hafco TM-1740G Lathe

I always extremely impressed in that you rarely just fix an item you've been given, you are nearly always adding a upgrade that will prolong the life, increase the performance, or extend the service interval of that item so that the customer always gets back something that is better than it was when new. The way you run your business is incredible and the service you provide is top notch.

I like how Kurtis says "this will outlast the bucket" knowing full well that when the bucket wears out it'll come back to CEE, with the repaired pin still going strong!

For me, this channel really works for a few reasons - the content is always about real engineering, there is skill and humour in abundance and the quality of production on the videos is excellent. That’ll do just fine! Thanks both. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

It still fascinates me watching this process. I’m 51 years old and grew up farming, and I’ve seen my share of machining and welding, but it never occurred to me that line boring and welding could be done in this manner. That Italian machine is amazing.

Another great episode. Really enjoy that you explain the work in detail so we engineering neophytes can learn. Quick question: Homeless & Kurtis appear to get new toys on each episode but what about Karen? Not too late for a Christmas wishlist. 🎄🤶🏻🎁

Whenever I watch your videos I'm filled with admiration at the way it is put together. You really tell the story Karen and your videoing and editing is second to none. Always love the outtakes, I feel for Kurtis, just the way I would be in front of a camera! :) Thanks for the entertainment. bw Jeroen.

The best thing in your work is that the customers can choose a cheepest shop to do the job, BUT the customers that realizes that the cheepest job is NOT a good job, choose the RIGHT job at the right price.
