Not gonna lie I think the PS4 version looks better lol. The lighting not being so dark in the PS4 versions makes things pop more. But this is how I feel about "better" graphics in general, that all the new lighting tech actually makes everything worse. I don't understand why people want realistic lighting in games. I don't know if you have ever been in the dark without light, guess what you can't fricken see!! Oh! And if you are blinded by light guess what you can't fricken see!!! lol

I think my only disappointment is no steelbook, I love my steelbooks, I have too many cloth tapestries to hang up, but steelbooks I can have all on a shelf and peruse them every now and then. Great unboxing!
The only reason I haven't gotten this is because it didn't come with a Steelbook. Every other special edition did, except Nayuta, and I was bummed this one didn't. So I didn't grab it

Got this LE delivered launch day. I started with Cold Steel III as my first LOH game, I know I know I'm a horrible person starting here lol. That said this game is absolutely amazing! 30 hours in so far and LOVING every second of it!
I didn't bother with this collector's edition because 1) I don't have a PS5, and 2) most of the contents is identical to the original collector's edition for 3 and 4, minus the map. I would have liked the map, but it's not worth the cost of a whole collector's edition
Thank you for avoiding spoilers. I have been playing through the Trails games for the first time and I just rolled the credits on the first Cold Steel a few days ago.
@MrBergste that's fine play how you want I played all the games except crossbel arc I even played kuro no kiseki if you got a pc the games have been fan translated and are good if you cant wait like me
@@CrimRui I'm loving it so far. I love how masterfully interconnected the stories are. I feel kinda stupid for waiting so long to get into them, but on the other hand it's been really nice to not have to wait between releases lol.
Hey NISA! You should send Ys X to Derek this fall for an unboxing as well. However, he has to beat at least one Ys title beforehand. Once again, just disappointed Derek......😂
Just want to say, thank you on unboxing it for us who don't own a PS5 console. Let's all support NISA on making these awesome JRPGs that will forever be remembered as one of the greatest JRPG of all time. Honestly, it's shocking to see that no Trails game were chosen as a candidate from any of the categories from 2023 Game Awards last year.

Man, any game with a decent map needs to provide a cloth map! Those are so cool and you don't have to constantly worry about creasing or ripping them.
The PS4 Versions are better tbh the PS5 versions are just cash jobs.

You can start anywhere, tbh idk why gamers have such a completion mindset with all games as long as it's fun most people will get into it

Yeah, I don't think there's any real reason to upgrade from the PS4 versions if you already have them. That map is pretty legit though! :D

Yeah, I own ToCS 1-4 on PS4. I double dipped on ToCS 1-2 from PS3 to 4, but I don't feel compelled to buy this updated version.
