Those early 1990’s teams were so talented. Chaney, Greg Graham, Damon Bailey, Henderson, and Nover. I miss these days when we were threat to win the Big Ten every year and go far in the NCAA’s.
This game was on Valentine's day and I snuck out and spent the day at my girlfriends house and watched this right after the Daytona 500 and i called my mom that night because i had no ride and she was pissed because it was a 30 minute drive plus I was already grounded plus i was 14 dating a 16 year old which was a world of difference back then. Wnd it was all totally worth it. Lol
I miss that atmosphere at Assembly Hall. These kids now have no idea what was like. My daughter is a sophomore and about half the time she sells her ticket to a sorority sister. Season in and season out, IU was always in the top 10. They can't even break the top 25 now.
That’s applicable anywhere now. I (sadly) laugh when I see a group of kids together nowadays and they are more focused on their phones (ie: other people) than those they are actually with. Go Irish!
Indiana vs Michigan - 2/14/93, not 1/31/93. Galen Clavio, there should be another IU vs Michigan matchup from 93 that I can recall besides Valentine's Day 1993 from Assembly Hall, it would be the earlier IU vs Michigan matchup from Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan from 1/12/93 from ESPN and IU Radio Network.
Thanks for posting. I've always treasured watching the classic game at UM that year, but this game definitely deserved a re-watch. Talk about physicality! We may have benefited from some home cooking here, as UM really piled up the fouls. By my count, Michigan scored 14 points in the final minute. Is that a record??
Unfortunately network tv for whatever reason started to want see the 2 teams benches from the other side of the court. It doesn't make any sense to me but a lot of things don't make sense to me in this day in age.
I’m thinking they all shot lots of free throws at the next practice. Calvert and Damon were the best but they choked at the end in that game. Evans to the rescue.
Officials blew the jump ball. If as they later ruled that no player ever had possession, the ball should've been rejumped, not awarded to Michigan because Bailey touched it out of bounds and neither team had first established possession. Thankfully, they gave IU the second possession arrow. It's also the only way to have two jump balls in regulation in college with the current rules, I'm fairly certain (besides just a bad toss).

This is when the Big Ten was stupid talented.
thank you Galen for this!!!!!
All anyone was doing the last time I was at a game at Assembly Hall was staring at their phones.

Few people remember the fab five weren't even the best team in the big ten.
Jim Nantz is so awesome. Hello Friends.
He is no Brent Musburger

How come you don't see this camera angle at assembly hall anymore.?

3:30 watching weber lean against Henderson.... wouldn't it be funny were Henderson to simply move aside and watch Weber fall on his ass?
Wasnt this game on February 14th? 1993? Either way, thanks for the upload! Better to watch it on here than on VHS.
Fab Five went 1-3 vs Indiana! HAHAHAHAHAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michigan was the most over rated basketball team in this era, the FAB 5 were a good team, but they weren’t a good “TEAM”.
Almost always lost to the other blue blood teams. They just always got hot in the postseason.
@@jeffreyzeigler2273 Not winning the Big 10 put them in an easier bracket.
I need the CBS theme song as a ring tone. Are ring tones still a thing? Packer couldn't say anything good about Indiana. So biased.
That's Packer. Every time he calls an iu game
