Honestly Phantoms "park and bark" version is FAR SUPERIOR to anything on this video. All fine corps, they just can't beat the horn choir that is Phantom Regiment.
I'm with some of the others - no one come's close to Phantom Regiment with Amazing Grace. I guess they haven't put it in a field show, but it's the one that gives me chills - every time. I miss hearing that in the old school retreats!
Cadets is my favorite by far of these 5, but agree nothing will ever top Phantom's audio recording of Amazing Grace...
Boston is my favorite by far and i don’t think it’s close. Personally
@@truthteller8504 which?
Definitely Phantom!
Nothing like the Phantom brass choir. Chills every time I hear it. These just don't compare.
Easy - Phantom Regiment!
Is it just me or is the fact that Phantom is not even on the list a travesty?
Agreed !
@@TheGreatHornedOwl They would outwin all the options lol
Having marched Cadets 2011 definitely partial to Cadets. I always got chills during the ballad and it was always such a great feeling when the crowd clapped for the demon pitchfork
How can you say NO to marching timpani? Go Royal Crusaders! I wasn't even born yet lol.
Hands down, without a doubt, always Phantom Regiment
PR. Love the recording, BUT the best experience was playing it as a member, of course!
Me when Phantom Regiment isn't listed: sad
PR did it best :) but I do love the whole Cadets 2011 show!
It's Boston all the way for me. Seeing S.O.S. in person was absolutely incredible. The clean and consistent sounds they were producing spead out all over the field was impressive. They sounded and looked incredible. Not to mention their color guard being the best.
Phantoms was beyond awesome nobody cant touch it. Truely breathtaking
Cadets 2011....in a class by themselves. However, having said that....IMHO, it's almost impossible to do a tune like this justice with Drum Corps. ALL the corps, except The Cadets, "Drum Corps-ed" it WAY too much. Jazz? I don't think so!
Maybe the show yea but amazing grace in this vid goes to Boston
The fact you dont have phantoms take on amazing grace is a crime.
1. Boston Crusaders (the percussion line is awesome) 2. Cadets
Man the royal crusaders had some soul
Boston
In order
Regiment
Boston
Royal Crusaders
Cadets
Spirit
Blue Knights
Trick question. These are all nice, but the correct answer is "none of the above". Phantom's version will always be tops.
Blue knights! Loved the low brass
Best Hornline hands down The Cadets. Best hit overall Boston! All were unique and creative.
So, being a part of the Best Guard (Spirit of Atlanta, '87), I must vote for Spirit!
I’ve been waiting for this one 😩
1)PR- Well bc they’re PR
2)Spirit- It’s southern & the “Gods trying to tell you something” intertwined in it.
3)Cadets- Because I’m a sucker for great mello writing. 🤷🏼♂️
4)Boston- For the artistic take on it
5)’75 Crusaders- Similar to Atlanta
Just my opinion 😊
BAC, no question
Have to agree with Scott on this. Phantom all the way!!!!
I prefer Boston Crusaders, but all of them were great, honestly.
they're all perfect
Cadets
nice!!!!!!!!!! i wish they would bring back band uniforms with the band hats. there's some DCI groups that almost bend in with the color guard
Boston 2018 for sure. One of the most beautiful shows I’ve ever seen
The video I'm watching right now is the best and the best. Thank you for making my everything so happy for a little while because of one reason I watch your video. Your video under the cold winter sky at dawn is so beautiful and enchanting. Your video really touches my heart. It is your video that I want to watch over and over again, even if I watch it over and over again. How did you have such a wonderful talent that is full of the mysterious charm of your video? I am amazed at the excellence of your skills and thank you for taking the time to warm my heart and make me feel comfortable with your sincerity and hard work in watching the video. I hope your video will bloom as a flower in my heart and stay as a flower of undying love for a long time. As the algorithm introduced, I just looked down and suddenly the first picture caught my eye, so I looked up again and it was your video. The moment I saw your video for the first time, my heart went up and it was so good. I'm looking at your video like a dream. With a precious relationship, my heart is sincere. I'm going to give you praise and support with full sincerity. Sit alone by the window and watch your videos. My sad tears that burn silently....I illuminate the video of you in longing, and if I float my small boat in the distant sea of reminiscence, will I hear your voice? Someday I want my heart to reach you...
Obviously Phantom Regiment, who can doubt that
As a Spirit alum (1980) gotta go with Hotlanta. All are good, but this is just
such a soulful rendition. Takin' it to church.
And they didn’t even show Spirit’s full version! I think leaving out the beginning was a mistake.
Spirit of Atlanta....spirited tempo, easy to understand.
Gotta go with Boston Crusaders
Cadets! I told my kids to play it at my funeral along with Free Again from the Golden Knights (BS)
Phantom Regiment and it's not even close. Cadets was really good and that was a great show, but no one can touch PR on this one. I suppose that's why they weren't on the list. The idea is to find out who was second.
No body ,bests Phantom #1 .
Cadets!
87 Spirit for me.
1975 👍
Phantom Regiment, who are not included in this video
2005 cavaliers
Phantom Regiment hands down
1993. Phantom Regiment.
And who was serenading to close it out ?? Bring it home for us, Bruce.....
2011 Cadets...
Boston
i wanna hear crown play phantom reg version
PHANTOM REGIMENT NO Contest
Spirit of Atlanta was the best.
Vista Ridge did it better in 2018.
Boston crusaders duh
My ranking:
1. Cadets
2. Blue Knights
3. Royal Crusaders
4. Spirit of Atlanta
5. Boston Crusaders
How about East Coast Jazz 2005 as an option? Oh that's right Div II/III doesn't exist to you.
Oh no!
Anyway...
Phamton is better than all of them
None. To jazzy.
Phantom Regiment the Best.
Boston
