@KartRacer695 Yes, you are correct. I have two KLT200A's. An '81 and '83. I believe the KLT250 did as well. You attach a small locking-plate to the differential to make it a "solid axle", like a typical 3-wheeler. They are VERY easy to do balance-wheelies on, mostly because the gas tank is under the seat. They have a real 5-speed, with a clutch, so clutching-up in second gear is a snap. You can actually "steer" them when wheeling, when the diff is in open mode. Just lean to one side.
THIS GUY IS VERY GOOD, HAVING OWNED A LOT OF THESE OVER THE YEARS MYSELF, I WOULD BET THAT THIS IS A HONDA 185s, PERFECT FOR THIS IN SIZE AND NOT TO MUCH POWER OR TOO LITTLE POWER.
I’m 99% sure this is the video I took of Doug at the Chicago Expo Center I gave it to him probably late 80s Amazing 👍🏻

he used 4 brake calipers to help aid in the turning while doing a wheelie. And yup - when he turned the bars one of the calipers would be applied.
At the end on the wires, he's damn good!!!

His early bikes were kawasaki. He switched to Hondas in 81. The bike in the video is a modified 200s. I got to see him in the early 80's in Knoxville.
@69jbr69 There was a Honda 250X three-wheeler but it didn't come out until 1983-84 I think. This does look like a Honda 185.
@mcq6942
I think the kawasakis were the only TRIKES with the dif lock and differentials.
@69jbr69 - Doug died many years ago.
what kind of 3 wheeler is that ??
Is it possible it is the Kawasaki , those were the only ATV's with differentials .
1981 or 82 Honda 185 modified with rear steering
Looks like a Yamaha 225DX with probably a Kerker or Supertrapp pipe.
Yeah it,s a Honda mid 80,s 185s or 200s...
How did he 180 so easy like a bobcat skid loader sickk
