Answer to your question 1: Would definitely be doing strength training over cardio. It just works better for my body.

My heart says strength but my head says cardio. Don't want to be huffing and puffing every time I climb the stairs!!
Cardio! Feel like getting your heart rate going and pushing yourself in that way is what makes the whole difference on your mental health. Love being strong but getting your heart rate up and being in the paincave for a bit is always like therapy!
you can have that with strength training too.
Used to love the stair machine at a local gym. Would do 120 floors at pace for a good cardio after weightlifting.

My approach to keeping a smooth head is a bit unobtainable for most... I have alopecia universalis, which is characterized by complete hair loss. The happy part is I always look clean-shaven without ever having to shave!
Strength training absolutely.
For me the answer would be cardiovascular fitness because it would allow me to go out and do more hiking visiting places and seeing sites and not worried about getting tired out too quickly.
