Thank you for this! I just purchased a draft on WEBS for a shadow weave baby blanket and this sheds more light on translating it. 🥰

Do you think this challenge using your tea towel pattern is suitable for a very brand new beginner who hasn't even down a twill yet? I got my four shaft last weekend and have my first piece warped and started.

Great question! It will be a pretty steep learning curve if you haven't tackled a twill yet. None of the elements are difficult, but there are quite a few elements to keep track of. That's up to you!
However, at the very least, I would definitely recommend joining the FB Group when the doors open! I always, always learn something from the participating weavers! Hope that helps!

I luv shadow weave... But my book doesn't have it in and not much on the internet.

You're right! Because it is a newer style of pattern, there isn't as much about it online yet - I agree!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the term "colour & weave" also relatively new? Let's put it this way: it never cropped up as anything other than a concept (unnamed) when I was first learning to weave, but I see quite a few references to it in discussions these days.

Oooh, good question! I came across it just a few years ago. But I'm not sure when it became a common description. Thanks for the note!!
