This is one of the things I think Grant contributed to Good Good - one thing that I feel is sorely missing after his departure - his pure enjoyment of someone else's excellent shot. He genuinely appreciates a great golf shot. It's a huge confidence booster for his opponents and playing partners. And it's great sportsmanship. His positivity is infectious. Well done Grant!

I have to get out of Chicago. Amazing city with great golf courses. Arguably the best summer city and summer weather. However, it’s unplayable for 6 months and my game regresses.
@@williamcarothers4976 true. I’m in suburbs of chicago. I play at stonewall orchard all the time. But we only have a limited amount of time to play. I’m glad I’m still able to keep a low single digit handicap but with limited weather, it’s sucks

Grant's tempo is contagious. Rick seemed to adopt it in this and his swing is looking silky.
Exactly what I was thinking, Rick shoots bad golf when his swing tempo gets fast.

Great to see Rick’s takeaway a bit slower than his normal. Looks like it is giving him a bit more consistency and confidence. Love the video and how much would all of us pay to have Grant’s golf swing. It’s a thing of Beauty!
Came to say the same thing. The past few months tempo has been his biggest issue
And not worrying about shaping shots.

yeah he's no longer rolling his wrists open on the takeaway. Lot less forearm rotation thru impact
Was thinking the same thing. You can tell him playing with Grant who is so silky smooth has really helped him slow it down. The misses to the right are when he gets a little too slow. He relies on timing as his arms need to match his body and they can get flippy through impact. I’d like to see him with an even more strong left grip so he can’t flip it left

Loved Grant’s commentary, you can hear a lot of admiration in his voice and it’s clear he wants Rick to perform. Loved this!
Mate, he most of all needs Rick to perform if the content going to be anything special. I actually think he is playing pretty soft (here and there) to spare Rick from a real humiliation.
With that said. Rick does perform way better than expected.

Have been looking forward to this one. Not easy to go head to head with Grant “the king of swing” Horvat, but Rick’s swing is looking so much better than a few weeks ago. His backswing tempo is way calmer and better and it’s paying off. Love this content 🙌🏻

I think playing with all the young guns has given Rick a little kick in the ass to get his game back up there. Love to see it.

Swng still looks very quick compared to someone like Grant, but that just may his style?

I just can't get enough of Grant's golf swing, it's poetry in motion. Looks so effortless so smooth. If only I had a swing like that I might be able to play at a better level. Wow!!

@@CMCMTTTV no matter how it looks, george is 10x better ball striker than grant. grant is a phenomenal golfer but would never make it on tour
3 holes in and I'm thinking you gave Rick a lesson before you started. A much slower back swing and smoother down swing from him and it's the best I've seem him hit the ball. If only his putting had matched the rest of his game. Grant, your swing is, as ever, the purest there is. 👏👏

At this point I’m pretty sure there’s a black market business that sells golf clubs of RUclips influencers.
Love the comments about coaching. Even the best growing business owners, managers and executives have coaches now-a-days for those reasons!
In the 2. hole drive it's easy to spot Rick's new swing thought. Way better backswing. Lot less wrist action and better tempo.
Such an underrated channel. This is truly some of the best golf content on the tube. I pray you keep growing and doing your thing. Such a blessing.
One thing I've noticed about Rick over the years, just as many have, is that once his confidence is gone the easy ones start to get away from him. Then a snowball effect happens. Rick was playing as good as I've seen him play in a long time at the beginning. Which was really good to see. Rick don't beat yourself up so much. That pressure is hurting your game. I know, easier said than done. I'm not through with the video, but I hope Rick finds it later in the round 👍.
EDIT- Literally 2 minutes after posting this comment, Rick acknowledges his confidence issue. Gotta stay positive Rick!

Rick's putting is atrocious. Too many initial putts don't even make it to the hole. First putt should go 1-3 feet past the hole if it doesnt drop. He's leaving a bunch 4-5 feet short
Yes, I recognize myself in a lot of his energy when things aren't going great. I would love to see him work with a mental game coach about how to shake off the bad golf vibes / negative spiral, that would be interesting for me also.
Really liking the look of Rick's swing lately. Love the backswing tempo he has adapted, used to be a little quick before. Never looked so good in my opinion! Great match!

You can add Rick and Grant’s ages together . . . and I’d still easily be their Senior . . . yet I love watching them share their gifts and “love of the game” I turned to late in life. These two gentlemen are my absolute favorite male golfers . . . Iona takes my admiration for the gals.

This was my first time seeing you. I’m now a subscriber. Man you are the straightest hitter I’ve ever seen. Watching you pure the ball was just impressive.
I follow both these players and have looked forward to this match since they played last when GG visited the UK. One of my favorite things about Grant is his positivity. In this video you really see him trying to boost Rick’s confidence and energy. Amazing round from both of you! I don’t think I’d be too upset shooting under 80 and these two did it pretty easily. Keep up the great content to the both and we’ll keep tuning in. 😀

I have a check list. Typically I work on one or two things at a time, but coming back from a torn bicep, I’ve made several changes that have been complete game changers. So I have four things that I need to remember. So I’ve started taking four little practice swings, adding each point with each little swing, just remembering the feel on that last one. It helps me to not think about my swing as much…AS much!

I have been watching Rick for years now and putting has been his Achillies heel. I think he just over thinks every putt. But it is good to see his driver and irons improve greatly. Enjoyable video, Grant you were great, such pure ball striking. Good stuff and I enjoyed the match.
