- A music video I did in 2006 to David Byrne's song, "Glass, Concrete, and Stone" off of his album "Grown Backwards" freshman year of college in Savannah. Thank you for watching and enjoy!
Special thanks to Duncan Iaria, Amanda Carlson, and Michael Jewell.

So happy The Bear introduced me to this song. Love Talking Heads but never heard this gem until now
Here because of the Bear too❤
I caught it a few years ago at the beginning of a movie. It was so good, made me watch the movie, which wasn't (so good):):). It was just OK.
I love this music till eternity. Commenting in 2023 from Nigeria.
I am completely astounded by the number of people who have seen this video and enjoyed it! Thanks to all of you for commenting, I tremendously appreciate it!

Nick Perlman 11 years later, your video is still great. First i tought it was official video for the song. Great job!
Classic great upload
Up 😎
The Bears going to bring everyone back here
Just gotta say: The Bear
Yeah!
How is this song not more mainstream? It's beautiful. I happened upon it through watching dirty pretty things but I would have never known it otherwise. It reminds me a bit of rusted root.
Taking heads, you need to know David Byrne is their lead singer, check them out and maybe you will recognize a few songs. David Byrne is one of my favorite musical artists for me, of all time. He's genius.
thank you. I looked up Rusted Root because of your comment. :)
@@wayin2art Agreed
I heard it on the opening scene of In Good Company (2004)
this song was on one of my moms cds when i was a kid and she would always play it in the car. last night i went to see american utopia and they played it and it brought back a ton of memories from when i was little. i was most surprised i was able to sing alone and know all the words. david byrne was such a huge part of my childhood and i totally forgot about it.
Found this 14 years too late. Good job friend!
Never to late to find this.. David Byrne is a true artists
@@Loy365 I agree. I'm just glad David Byrne and his music exists
David Byrne is pure genius!
David Byrne is one of the greatest showman of our time
Ending of dirty pretty things (movie) brought me here, this song really stuck with me, love the lyrics and the way his voice meshes and pauses in between words, this is real music!
Kaylee Moore me too. Just finished watching movie, and heard David Byrne so i check it online.
Vim pelo livro, Mosquitolândia!! ❤️
O livro que eu mais amo nesse mundo!
Here because I'm currently reading Mosquitoland.

Omg same lol
@BOTCITY it is my favorite book dont ask me why but just something about it is so close to me. It is definitely worth the read. Just let the book flow.
I think Mr Byrne would approve. Nice job.
I love this David Byrne and this song and periodically I'll come watch your video. I dated a SCAD student 1998 and just realized that when I was 17, I got drunk and laid down on the bench you're balancing on at 0:33. Can't believe I'm just realizing that. Thanks for the concrete memory!
Let my body and soul be my guide
although this video is as old as me this has got to be my favorite song ever. this video only adds to the incredible experience this song is
It's so old, I'm exactly a year and a month older than this video
I was 3 months old when this was uploaded. Its a weird feeling.
Well beyond perfect.
Beautiful job
I think Andrew Bird heard this song and thought, "I want to sound like that."
Wow, good observation. He really does sound like that.
Grown Backwards is an album by David Byrne, released March 16, 2004.

In good company, the movie brought me here lol
Wow, so powerful.
00:59 fitted the song excellently and 01:26 to 01:29 was pure Byrne-esque. Well done.
Adorei,obrigado por dividir tal prazer.................
I am thoroughly impressed this is very well done it really captures the essence of t what the talking heads visualizations.

PT
That was pretty good vid. I thought it was the real video for it until about halfway through when I reaized I hadn't seen Byrne. Love the song!
Excellent!!!
Well done!!! ^_^
*props*
I agree with AnthonyArundel, you did well. Not often does someone suit the video with the audio this well.
you're very talented.
perfeito ess video e essa musica
Thanks for the video dude. Awesome. Keep it up. 🦶
the home creates the heart ... and what we chose to impress the heart ... creates us.
.:.
very nice video. congrats!!!!
beatiful.
I'm only disappointed that it took so long for me to notice this video. While I don't agree that this is how DB would have done it, I do agree that it would likely meet with his approval. It truly reminds me of some of the early TH videos. I thought it was a beautiful treatment for a beautiful song. Excellent job, and done by a freshman? Doubly impressive!
This video is BEAUTIFUL! Eye have long been a fan of this song....and U have definately captured it nicely....well done ;)
Thanks to THE BEAR have fallen for this song

A lot of us seem to have heard this song first in "Dirty Pretty Things."
The Bear brought me here
been to Auburn?
The beginning of this sounds similar to bgm in Radiata Stories!
nice, actually!
great song, you did it justice.
Amazing video my friend, hope you're doing well
this remind me dirtty pretty things... very distressful movie the song is sad to and cute!
Dirty pretty things ❤
does the video with song imply that the heart is just housing place ... not a home to dwell in?
I'm here after Mosquitoland.
I have to be admit to being a little pedantic when it comes to this but... Does anyone get bugged when you make a video with a copyrighten song as the soundtrack? Is there any possibility that David Byrne will get this video removed from youtube?
me too
o4enj nravitsa!!!
Who came from the bear ?
thought about a career in media?
I heard this song in a movie and I thought it was Paul mccartney singing
