My sister's first husband abandoned my sister and their new born son. Long story short, her second husband adopted him. The son never asked about his biological father.
In my country, that's what divorced dads do. Not all, of course, but the majority. Getting another woman, another kids, and loosening all contacts to the ones from the previous marriage. Like they never existed. Sometimes even without having a new family, they just stop showing up to the agreed visitation times. Most of them also don't pay any child support, or just the bare minimum, because "they don't want the ex to spend it on herself". Which is most of the time physically impossible, because that sum wouldn't cover even half what a child's needs are. But for whatever reason our society only damns the mother if she dares to do it, for fathers it's a pass. Double standards all the way. Example: Having hobbies and meeting friends as married people with kids? For dad: yes of course, he needs some time off. For mum: but who's watching the kids while she's away?
At least the ex wife's parents try to be there for their grandson hopefully the xe wife doesn't try or demand her parents from seeing their grandson. For some horrible reason she does I hope that they deny her request. It would also be if they told her "Just because you are happily and willingly having very little to do with your child that it could count as nothing doesn't mean we are so serve it"
my dad abandonded his first son, conceived at a party, the mother suprised him 9 months later. I met him 35 years later at my fathers funeral and never knew of him before. He was 20 years older than me. I felt hurt for my fathers death, but still felt his hurt for seeing how he loved and raised me, but not him. It was never his fault. It was never my dads intention to hurt him. I think my dad drank himself to death by his guilt.

My father wants nothing to do with me and my mom treats me as a slave she only acts decent around people but when I am only near her she screams yells throwing hangers and stuff once she made me go on a walk I didn’t want to because I was tired she threw my razor mini scooter at me and made us come back early from the walk because she was tired
That kid didn’t deserve that, all any kids wants is love and she took that from him since his birth
