I love mine, I have the basic one use it in Jets, turboprops not so good, my Bose works better there. Re the ear plugs, put them into a sock and then into the washer, come out like new every time. Fab headset, love it.
I just bought a new one. I had an old one for 5 years, and it was refurbished once for free. (3 year warranty) and it failed again, however I'm an airline pilot doing 4 legs a day and it's inevitable that the wires will fray... I turned the old one in for another refurb and I'm going to sell it. 10/10 would recommend.
Hey Leonard, after a few years use, how are you getting on with it? I'm starting to get fed up of the weight of the headset on my head, so interested in the Clarity Aloft brand. Their new model 'Flex' looks pretty decent too.
Hello, I’ve had my Clarity Aloft headset since October 2015 and they’re still going strong. Unfortunately they are slightly more expensive now, (not too much more). I love how light weight they are and I barley know they’re there. The only downside is they don’t have active noise cancelling. They are extremely good passive noise cancelling but it would be great if they did have ANC 👍🏻
nice review, what equipment are you on? I fly the airbus and in the market, do I need a special type of jack converter to plug into the airplane, or is this compatible as is to plug into an airbus? Thanks!
Hello, I can’t speak for Airbus. But for Boeing the two prongs you see in the video connect straight to the two headset ports in the flight deck. If your Airbus headset uses two prongs then the clarity will work. Hope this helps.
Hello, I believe it was flightstore as I'm in the UK, but I've just checked the price and definitely did not pay £575 for it, looks like the price has gone up. Might be worth sourcing off ebay or US and pay for shipping.
Onur Basaran No I’ve never had a problem with the cable when fastening or unfastening the seat belts. I’ve not sure what you mean when you say adjustable mic? This one is perfect for me, the mic can be moved like any normal headset and stays in position well. Hope this helps.
Leonard Luther I think he is reffering to the fact that the mic is on the left side and in the F/O seat you have the connection on the right upper side. Also wanted to ask if the cable is bugging you in any way because of that. Cheers.
Cyber1saved in my opinion no. When flying with others you can not get the squelch adjusted correctly for everyone onboard as this mic is so sensitive. You would be better off with the noise cancelling headset for single engine aircraft. Hope this helps. If you’re flying by yourself most of the time then it could be great as the squelch would be set for you only.
Well done, and certainly deserves a. "Like" and a Sub.👍 I have been wanting this type of head-set for quite some time. Pretty sure it will be the Pro Plus, as having active/electric noise cancelling and Blue-Tooth capability, is a priority. Use is for G.A., recreational "short" flights, and occasional X-country flights (no more than 6.0-hours TT, with a break in between). Had considered Bose's version, but the Clarity Aloft appears to be more affordable/over $200.00+ difference between the two. This review is a great help....and very much appreciated.
AEROMAGNUM TV Thank you very much for the comment and Sub. I’m glad you didn’t find the video to boring or mundane, as this was my first real review I have a lot to learn. As you’ll be using the headset for GA and can afford the Pro Plus then you’ll certainly benefit from that. Any other questions just ask. Cheers Leonard
Leonard Luther No problem, was not in the least bit "boring"/"mundane", subscribing was a no brainer. Look forward to learning more from your channel. Keep up the great work. Good-day.

I like the sock tip!

Great review thanks.
Hi, great review, thank you! I was wondering, where did you purchase your headset from?
Disregard, you mentioned AFE. They seem to be harder to find nowadays!

I wonder does its cable jam while you fasten your shoulder belts? Should I buy the Flex one which has a adjustable mic. Thanks.

Did this work well in the single engine planes ? Good review,,,,,honest

Very Good....I'm Planning on building flight hours by myself so it might work. Thanks for the reply.

:)),, the volume should be the other way around,, the radio should be near max and the headset lower
That’s just my preference, because if I use the flight deck speaker, it doesn’t come blaring out this way. Use the volume how you wish 😂
