What the grandfather was actually trying to ask you was that, if you were a local tourist or a foreigner.
In Ladakh, Local would mean Indian and foreigner from anywhere else apart from India.
Just wanted to clear out what he meant because that's very common to get asked esp in Ladakh because there is influx of foreign as well as local tourists.

3:05, Ladakhis usually call tourists from India, "Gyagarpas", where Gyagar is India and Pa is "from". Asking that old uncle, who didn't seem to understand, "So You aren't from India?" seemed like a rude way of imposing your idea of patriotism on him, while not understanding the intricacies of the local dialogues. He just wanted to ask if you're an Indian or a foreigner. I would assume where your assumption came from, but it seemed pretty obvious and i wont dwell upon it.
People from those villages are so patriotic that one child from the family is almost always in the army and they have sacrificed much more for the country than you can even imagine. And you go there on your bike, making vlogs and money thereof, and judge them because they asked if you are from India or abroad.
Please open your mind before travelling to areas like these, where people are linguistically, ethnically, culturally and socially different from the rest of the country. Same goes for North Eastern States.
Also, Dha people are cautious and sensitive about their honour and respect. So, unless you've some sort of evidence, I suggest you change the title and intro of your video, otherwise someone might sue you for defamation of a whole ethnically protected group. I understand these are clickbaits, but views aren't worth all the legal drama.

it's about brokpa tribe of ladakh, They're culturally related to Tibetan but they're Genetically related to Caucasian. Earliest European contact from British in 18th century in this valley mentioned that people in this valley resembles European with tall stature & Fair skin with blue eyes 😊 & perhaps there is some evidence that they're Descendent of Alexander's army who remained in this valley. !
Caucasian is not a genetically supported theory. Caucasian is simply European people .diverse races with diverse genetics and mostly mixed live in Europe.
