Wendy Carlos has a Tangerine Dream. Interesting how the harpsichord got turned into clarino fanfare reminding me of the bridges from "The Magician" and later "Dynasty" TV themes.
That is so kind of you, Paul. I’m going on tour soon and I’d like to let you know about it. Could I ask you to please hit my website and find the form to sign up with your email and ZIP Code so I can let you know when I’m coming to your town. Thanks!
Hey BJ, I've been going insane over something for years and years: I remember sometime in the 90s there was a version of the Morning Edition theme that opened with just a solo Rhodes playing the main theme...but it seems to be lost to the ages forever and I feel like I just hallucinated it. Was this real? It was sometime between the 90s harpsichord-and-kingly-trumpet intro and the current muzak version (that I really like). Please, for my own sanity, _confirm there was a solo Rhodes version._ Thank you very, very much. You're the best!
I totally relate to this comment, because I ended up here while looking for two very specific NPR themes when I know the name of neither of them: a cheerful tune I associate with weekends that is mainly a rapidly ascending and descending trumpet and a piano making lots of arpeggios, and a very haunting tune I just heard on NPR world this morning.
Weather Report + Vince Geraldi = Public Radio Music
The beginning of this song sounds like if Game Freak decided to include their own version of NPR in old Pokémon RGB.
Right on, right on!
This is the most incredible thing I've ever heard.

Your themes are some of the best ever

Does anyone have a link to the one from a few years ago? The one used up until some time in 2019?

This reminds me of the 2019 version of the morning edition theme.

Oh, I think it still has charm.
Sounds more like the music that plays the moment you become a man.
