I had one. All stock. It rode just right. Soft and handled regular daily driving turns corners. The drivers compartment was just right. Seats soft held you in place. Kept you centered in place in front of the controls.
There is nothing like the " Cherry Bomb" sound..! I am glad that you let us hear it Therefore,.. I know for sure without making an error that is what is going on my 95 LX,. However, I truly recommend to just take the Catalysts off,. and use the factory Ford exhaust since it was meticulously engineered to allow some back pressure at the bottom RPMs , then at the same time allow less restriction in the higher RPM powerband,. And definitely undestructible and engineered by the best engineers in America, ! I've had a 1995 and currently have a 1997 that both blew out those rear mufflers. The 1995 got new stock mufflers, the 97 is awaiting a Magnaflow cat back and a set of long tube headers.

@@billyray4716 does it though? I mean if we’re comparing N/A to N/A, it’s hardly call it king. A 392 Scat can easily be walked by a stock Mustang GT. The mustang makes 460 horse out of a 5 liter whereas the Hemi needs 6.2 liters to make 15 more horsepower. Plus the Hemi eats camshafts like a high college student ordering Chinese food. Is it really the king today?
The V-8 Thunderbirds have a 2-into-1-into-2 quasi-dual exhaust system with three catalytic converters, one resonator, and two mufflers. Two cats at the exhaust manifolds and one larger cat at the "Y" where the pipes come together before the resonator. I had the third cat and resonator removed and replaced with a "Y" pipe. Then had the factory mufflers removed and replaced with cherry bomb glasspacks. The third cat can be removed without throwing any codes because there is no O2 sensor behind it. Hope this helps.
Chris Haywood.... I have a 94 with the 4.6 v8. Can I put cherry bombs on it and keep it legal? Smog and noise legal. Are they at the back where the stock mufflers were? Thanks for any help you give me
Yep. They're in the same place as the stock mufflers. And it's perfectly legal. I also had the 3rd cat and resonator removed and replaced with a Y-Pipe. As long as it has the two cats at the manifolds, it's still legal.
Very nice can we talk about the exhaust? it sounds badass is that a 4.6 V8 I haves 96 4.6 and I would love for it to sound like this. Good job sir mean clean Machine
Thanks! It is a 4.6L SOHC V-8. It has the factory 2-into-1-into-2 single exhaust system. It originally had three cats and two mufflers. I have removed the third cat and replaced it with a Y-pipe and removed the factory mufflers and replaced them with cherry bomb glasspacks with chrome tips.
+Roberto Jr Thanks! I honestly don't know the muffler model. I just told the shop to put some cherry bombs in there :) The backup lights are just white 3157 LED bulbs. Direct plug-n-play.
It has '95 Lincoln Mark VIII 16" painted 10-spoke wheels with P225/60R16 tires, cross-drilled and slotted front brake rotors, all blue LED instrument cluster and interior lighting, HID headlamps, LED parking lights and turn signals, and an AM/FM/DVD stereo with a 3" LCD touch screen and Bluetooth, and replaced the lighter socket with dual USB ports. So far, that's about it. Oh, I also put some "V-8" emblems from a '95 T-Bird on the front fenders. They stopped using the emblems in '96 for some reason. I'm constantly upgrading the car.
This thing actually sounds way better than I was expecting it to be considering it has cherry bombs.

Are they glass packs or extremes
The biggest mistake Ford made was not putting the Lincoln, Cobra Jet motor on the Thunderbird.
Do you know what length glasspacks you used
