After her Portrait albums of Ludovico Einaudi, Philip Glass, John Adams et Arvo Pärt, violinist Angèle Dubeau has chosen post-minimalist composer Max Richter for her latest album in the series.
"Among the composers who have and will continue to have an impact on the intellectual and
musical life of their time, there is Max Richter. My new Portrait album is devoted to his
impressive body of powerful and original works. I have selected 16 pieces with his unique
signature, which I revisit here with my violin and my orchestra, La Pietà.”

Après les albums Portrait de Ludovico Einaudi, Philip Glass, John Adams et Arvo Pärt, la violoniste Angèle Dubeau s'arrête sur l'œuvre du compositeur post-minimaliste Max Richter pour son nouvel album dans cette série.
« Parmi ces créateurs qui ont eu et auront encore longtemps un impact sur la vie intellectuelle et musicale de leur époque, mon dernier Portrait s’arrête sur un compositeur prolifique à la signature unique et aux œuvres fortes et originales; le post-minimaliste Max Richter. De son impressionnant catalogue d’œuvres, j’ai orienté mes choix vers 16 pièces; revisitées ici avec mon violon, entourée de mon orchestre La Pietà. »

Marianela,please forgive my ignorance. Double axel? Her @ 2:30ish or the guy before??? Great video. Proud Canadian with artists like her in my country. Check out her other works,my friend.
SuperTinman2009 I’m no figure skating expert either 😅 but the double axel is the only jump where you jump forwards instead of backwards, in this case the guy jumps @ 2:02.

i first heard this on my morning commute yesterday and couldn't resist playing it on a loop until i arrived at my office... this visualisation of it, is simply sublime... incredibly elegant and couldn't be more appropriate for the delicate and also powerful, sound of the strings.
Beautifully rendered and filmed. Sweetly played and lovely. I so much enjoyed both listening and watching. The slow motion effects are brilliant!
