I just came across your channel and hit subscribe. I’m 49 and had the chance to attend a black college but didn’t go. It’s one of my biggest regrets. I LOVE to watch black college dancers. My sister lives in Augusta Georgia and my niece is a flag girl. Last year she did a solo and killed it. I was so proud of her🥰 I live in California and we only see this flavor if the high school or college is predominantly black (which is rare) but even the junior high and high schools teams down south have so much soul and flava, now I get to pretend I’m a HBCU dancer 💃🏿 in the privacy of my living room 🥰 Please make this a regular part of your channel. It’s a great workout.

What's a catch on?
If you search Southern University Dancing Dolls, which are the young ladies who dance with the band, you will see them do a series of 8-count dance steps while sitting in the stands with the band which are also known as "catch ons". The captain will do the dance step first, and the rest of the squad will "catch on" to what she is doing and repeat it as many times as she does. I hope this helps.
