As a note after doing my own independent research over the years on animal cafes like this in Japan I have to say visiting once is enough, its heart-breaking to find lesser establishments that don't care for their animals even half as well as these owls were. I have always been an advocate for animals to remain in the wild or wildlife reservations instead of in captivity. I know not all animals will ever have the luxury of returning to the wild because of breeding in domesticated/captivity settings, and some have very healthy and happy homes with humans. Most of the time that is not the case with these cafes. As stated above, we both agreed we would never go back to this cafe after a long conversation at dinner following this visit.
Its not this girls fault but this set up is incredibly cruel and unusual owls are nocturnal majority of them are asleep cause its there sleep time sorry but shame on these cafe owners
