Meet Shubham Batra, a full-time trader who started at a very young age and Swing Trades in Equity format. He comes from an interesting background where his initial capital came from his mother, who trusted his son (like most of the mothers do) who wanted to do something big in life.
In this Swing trading podcast, we discussed a lot of interesting facets related to Shubham's trading journey.
For instance, Shubham went through a bumpy ride initially where he got involved into unregistered advisory tips and lost out a decent chunk of his capital.
However, he persisted. In his case, he had the benefit of getting the capital help from his parents and this became a huge advantage for him in terms of where he stands today. Generally, a trader without family backing like he had, would not have persisted for this long.
In the last 3-4 years, he has seen so many charts and has observed the momentum of so many listed companies that he remembers the price of the company's stock price by heart. We tested him on that bit as well and he won by flying colors.
As far as his trading strategy is concerned, he is into positional trading. He books his loss without much of a fuss and this is one basic differentiation he has keep in this trading journey right from the start.
Shubham's mindset seems to be pretty clear in terms of the return expectations he has from his trades as per the capital he deploys.
