Very brilliant move by Buju.. I think he should have given each artist more time on the mix. MIXED IT UP. That would have been a blast. I did not want to hear Buju singing almost the entire song on the mix. I wonder why he did not mixed it up or blend it up more.. Missed opportunity by buju.
@@roseleeprim yeah that would have been nice, but I don't think much has been missed, I think the point of the remixes was to highlight the song itself. So, maybe the strategy was to add a little international spice to the song.
Buju is musically smart so a mix with different Genre will garner more exposure to that core audience. I HOPE he will be coming with a NEW VERSION or EDITION of this EP MIX with more MIX UP and BLEND UP. . Hip-hop, Reggaeton, and afrobeat = Smart music strategy.. Buju ain't playing. He is back and making up musical time for the 10 yrs he has lost. It's like he never left because he is so current and relevant and eloquently spreading good messages. Most importantly, he always and still is, staying out of the hype, feud and mudslinging that other artist are guilty of on social media and elsewhere. @@roseleeprim yeah he smart, and stays away from the drama, I love that and hope to see it continue. Dancehall has too much bickering egotistical attitudes among artists. Just because one wants to prove that he's 'badder' or he's king or he's the greatest ever. But Gargamel has nothing to prove, and he didn't care about those labels, he only wants to do great and timeless music.
I was quite disappointed when I saw the IG post from Chronixx the other day comparing artists and saying a certain artist will beat all others and "send them home". Dancehall/Reggae only needs quality and wholesome output, and they'll all need to put their egos aside and face the music...
That aside, I remember you have been wishing for some Spanish in Buju's music for a while, when I heard the remix with Farruko, I immediately thought of you 🙂
@@TundeArekemase I was glad to hear Buju with a Latin artist. I was hoping for that and it happen. Great move and I do think he has more to come. I am hoping he does a extended or new version/edition of the same EP REMIX with more mix and blend. Buju always surprise his FANS. To address Chronixx post. I was very disappointed because I am a fan of his music and a fan of my artist Sizzla. I asked myself WHY and where his head was to have posted that. My spiritual compass tells me that Chronixx feels like a wounded bird and he is not flying that much anymore since Buju came back on the scene. During Buju absence, Chronixx rose to stardom in the reggae genre. I always see Chronixx as a Rasta artist - no drama but he hangs with lightweight Protoje. Protoje always sing like he is sedated and he can never carry a song on his own. Always with a feature artist. . Protoje seems to be a hot head posting crap so that is what you get. . My spirit led me to believe that Chronixx regrets the statement but I now look at him differently. I don't listen to his music that much anymore and I will not buy his music until he backtrack his hideous statement. You are correct, too much ego and no conforming to elevate and push REGGAE AND DANCEHALL worldwide and because of that the music SUFFERS. It's so ironic that each time Buju does an interview, he always mentioned Chronixx and Protoje in a positive light. ....Walk Good One Love.
