Thanks for the indepth review! I'd say yes to a cooler review as your videos are always fun to watch. This Goku seems awesome. I kinda wish the hair, belt, boots and wrist wraps were less saturated though to match the anime but apart from that it looks solid.

Thanks, I'll see what I can do for Cooler. Still waiting for him to ship since importing was lower cost than pbandai. Reviews so far have me feeling reluctant to touch him lol.

Greatly enjoyed the long review. Even the first few minutes is gold showing some of the newer figures to hype this figure up.
Putting this Goku side-by-side with the other figures puts a lot of things into perspective. He is one of a kind…yup, legendary sounds about right!

Love the in depth review and makes me more excited to get this goku in hand too.
As far as articulation and joint tolerances this does seem to be top notch, but I feel that the scaling is a little off when hes in a vanilla standing pose alongside other figuarts gokus or the DF 3.0 goku for that matter. His upper torso is a little sunken in and his shoulders dont seem to be level with other goku figures. Also the head looks a little too sunken into the neck.
The design team was definitely scared to have these little details dialed in cos the hair is really that tall and would make him taller than all other gokus. Eitherway, the little plastic part where the double ball peg of the neck plugs into the head can probably be removed like with super hero gohan, and put back together not as deep so that the head sits a bit higher.
One thing Im interested in is whether you can put the ssj gokus torso into the waist and legs of DF 3.0 goku to create the look of goku in the saiyan saga VS vegeta, where just his upper body gi is torn off, at the part when he was kaiokenmaxxing to match vegetas speed and galick gun. I dont think Ive seen anyone try it out yet tho.

Pulling the head socket out a bit is an interesting idea, maybe I'll try that on Gohan. I'm on the fence whether the heads sit too low or if it's a conscious design choice since they keep doing it, but at the very least they look low in some poses and could use more room to tilt the head back.
Not sure about attempting the leg swap, but seems feasible. I think 3.0 torsos usually have a plastic plug socket at the bottom, similar to the head and neck. The torn shirt won't match, but there's always paint, red light, etc.

@@TheArtOfActionFigures Only issue with raising the head a bit higher is that it leaves a little gap in the back between the neck and the head, but from what I've seen with super hero gohan and the way he looks with this change, I dont think I care that much since I pose my figures facing forward and thats where I want them to look best at.

If the ball joint is too small to fit well with the head, can be solved with a little gum, it gives the same strength in the joint as if it were original, and it can be articulated without problems.
Take 3 pieces of gum and put them in a bowl with hot water, then with a mortar (what is used to grind spices), crush the gum until it looks like chewed gum.
Remove the hot water from the bowl, remove all the gum (it will be super soft), and make a ball with your hand and let it cool.
Then flatten it with baking paper to remove the water.
When you have the gum already molded, put the amount you think necessary right in the hole in the head.
If you see that you have leftover gum, remove it and try until you find the right amount.
It's super easy and very effective, for example I have gum on the head of songohan base 3.0 of super hero on the body of goku base of super hero.

Gum, like chewing gum?? I don't doubt that it works as you say, but personally wouldn't want to mod the materials that deeply. Have you seen thermoplastic like instamorph? Similar process, but it hardens to an ABS-like plastic. I'd either use that or replace the peg.

@@TheArtOfActionFigures No, its bubble gum. And o, it doesn't do any damage to the figure or modify it, at most it leaves a slight aroma of bubble gum. And you can always take it off and put it back however you want.
