When I'm blue. When I don't know what to do with myself and I cry throughout the day. I always come to Jon Brion and he always consoles me and calms me down. He is so gifted and precious. I love him.
I love and relate well to this song too. If I might suggest another... You may also enjoy the "punch drunk love" soundtrack, which is by Jon Brion too. I listen to it when I'm feeling low and it really helps me feel better.
I love how self-aware the whole movie is of itself. Though maybe not something for all ages, that doesn't at all detract from it as a whole. A wonderful blend of depression and fantasy only attainable in its format as a film, an odd in between of escapist and realist.
Yeah me too man! under the surface. under the day to day facard put on to put me in the box i think i should be in. take care bro. i hope you find you're special little someone.
@@benainable you too, friend. I pray that everyone finds their person. I hope you're doing good these days. I feel what you said about the facade we put up. I can't remember when, but for years I was trying to force myself into a role I didn't belong in.
this movie moved me from the core, couldnt stop thinking about it for a long time. existencialist and profound, one of the best most artistic and beautiful films ever
wow!! same here saw it a month and a half ago, but it still remains in my mind. it made me happy as well as sad, and aware of many things about life, that scene with the tattoos is one of the best, but i totally broke down with the priest's speech, and in the end, when he dies. it did drain me, but i loved, it is like so much fantasy in it but also it is sooo real, or realistic!!
Everything you do, Everything we Do, is as Little as this Person is...No matter how special and Unique we are...In the End, we are alll the Same: Little Persons.
@wickeddrummer13 No, Hawthorne did not write this song, Jon Brion did for the movie synecdoche, ny - hawthorne did a cover of it on his new EP that was btw comprised solely of covers. So I know it's all good ;)
Same with me. One of the most complex films I have ever seen. There's hardly a film like this. Synecdoche stand out, and stands alone. The scene with the priest in the end should be made compulsory.
IT'S A TYPO IT'S MISS MY LITTLE KID AND WIFE... MOVING RIGHT ALONG; I HAVE THIS SONG, WHEN I HEARD IT I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE IT I LOVE THIS SONG... THANKS FOR POSTING IT...
Is that a quote from the movie? I've been trying to find the origin of this, but with no luck - and I don't know the movie by heart, so I'm not sure if that's from Synecdoche or no. Very curious.
Honestly, one of the greatest songs I ever heard.
agree..............
This is the song of my life.

totally agree with you guys!!! and yes punch drunk love wow.

I feel this song very deeply

A friend who dearly cared about me showed me this song, it made me cry, and now i'm with her. Because now i know.
Still?
"I Know You" 0:48 - 1:25
"Life is Precious" 1:41 - 1:58
"I'm Glad I Found You" 2:44 - 3:14
I know you.
You're the one
I've waited for.
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever; music, words and meaning. 5 stars.
I cried too.
The simplest of words.
The deepest of meanings. This song caresses your sorrows.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Modern cavemens with modern caves. The moment you awaken from illusion is the moment you realize you are so utterly insignificant and lonely..."
This darn near made me cry at work. It's lovely! I like both the original and the Mayer Hawthorne rendition...nice!
Every second of this song, down to the most microscopic detail, is perfect.
why is this making me so sad and distressed instead of calm and relaxed?
Because the film it was composed for is infinitely depressing. It's also one of the best movies of the modern era. Worth watching!
RitochanTV it is sad and depressing some people find that soothing when they feel the same as the song
@@HalfStepTides What's the title?
@@michaljakistam136 Synecdoche, New York.
@@HalfStepTides thanks bro

Seriously one of the prettiest songs ever. We're working on an animated video for this song. We'll try to let you know when it's up.
Miss my little lid and wife
Good words..
Why in the world did this song not get nominated for an oscar?
Punch-Drunk Love...Sorry for being two weeks later, my dear Brazilian friend.
This song is so full of meaning and emotion! Brilliant!
Lyrics by Charlie Kaufman. Sung by Deanna Storey.
Niiiiice !!!!!!
As an insignificant person, I’m depressed. This song is very distressing 😢
❤
It's cool. We all make mistakes. Thousands of them. That's human nature at its core.
reminds me of Chet Baker
Agreed
@MissEllaMaryCampbell ....it was written by Jon Brion, as is common in movie soundtracks, sung by another.
@wickeddrummer13 No, Hawthorne did not write this song, Jon Brion did for the movie synecdoche, ny - hawthorne did a cover of it on his new EP that was btw comprised solely of covers. So I know it's all good ;)
But you are immense, Mr. Brion
Nice, Please Do!
jesus... wish i wrote this. wish i wrote this
me too, im starting to like this more though..
I`ll find a second little person, who at look at me and say...
"I know you
You're the one I've waited for
Let's have some fun"
Same with me. One of the most complex films I have ever seen. There's hardly a film like this. Synecdoche stand out, and stands alone. The scene with the priest in the end should be made compulsory.

The composing is amazing . The question is ,who is the singer? Because her name can't be Jon.
Synecdoche New York 2008
Zeds dead brought me here as well thank god
Kauffman was onto something here.

@berzerkrobot I stand corrected :p

IT'S A TYPO IT'S MISS MY LITTLE KID AND WIFE... MOVING RIGHT ALONG; I HAVE THIS SONG, WHEN I HEARD IT I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE IT I LOVE THIS SONG... THANKS FOR POSTING IT...
Good song. If you want to hear a cover of this look up Mayer Hawthorne's version. It's pretty damn good.
Rip kik, Oppai, Eden, Aaren and i will miss ya
Anyone know where I can get the backing track
I love this, but I'm not sure who is singing!
Is that a quote from the movie? I've been trying to find the origin of this, but with no luck - and I don't know the movie by heart, so I'm not sure if that's from Synecdoche or no. Very curious.
When will you get an answer here? It's been 5 years
It's another 5 years...

j.cole sampled this for sideline story
Who's singing ?
So is this a man singing? I'm just a little confused but I really do love this song.
i found second little person but maybe i doesn't mean to her like what she does mean to me
Zeds Dead brought me here.
zeds dead - the one brought me here :)
Don't get me wrong the singer is amazing. But is it just me that hears this song and can almost hear Frank Sinatra singing this song?
I understand, like you can also imagine/hear frank sinatra singing this too.
little 'lid and wife' ruined it for me.... sigh.
Even a sad song makes me sadder.
Deanna Storey
head up!
jon brion just composed the song, hes not singing lmfao ..i figured that was obvious
Perfect song spoiled by the blips and clicks on this particularly poor quality audio file
Prefiro a versão Foxtails Brigade
@seanmurray90 please dont sample it
I enjoy sampling music, but certain songs are just too beautiful to be sampled
Oh, sorry.
this songs way to hard to sample .... i cant give up its too perfect to not sample.
Anybody find this from the PrimeNow commercial ??

مالك نجر اقول الله يهديك بس ع هالصبح
Was that person singing a man or woman - coz a freakin' woman called Jon is just not right?!!
