I think the easter egg with the invisible souls can be performed with all souls in the game, but most people use the ones in act 4 since it's the ideal place to do it, it might be that it only works with them but I don't think so. To reiterate, you leave 4 souls alive and kill everything else within 1-2 screens distance so that you're alone with them. There must be a decent amount of room around you. Then you just survive their lightning until they stop shooting at you. Then they'll perform a ritual that spells out the initials of some of the developers. When the ritual is finished you gain +4000% Magic Find for the rest of the game session, and it stacks if you do it multiple times. The drop rate of blue items scales linearly with magic find, so +4000% magic find gives you +4000% blue items. For unique, set and rare items there are increasing diminishing returns for each rarity, so you'll never hit the point where you only get unique items but you can still increase their drop rate massively. Try killing Diablo in act 4 with the easter egg active and see if you get lucky. You might still get crap loot because RNG but it would increase your odds significantly, especially if it's the first time you kill him since you get improved loot on your first boss kills.

If they spell out letters with their lightning instead of geometric patterns like a pentagram then you've got the right one, otherwise there's either too many souls or there's something obstructing them from performing the right ritual, such as if there's still some monsters alive too close to you.
@@jukexjuke It's not that bad, once you've done it one time you'll probably be able to do it faster the next time. If you plan on doing most of act 5 in one sitting then maybe do the easter egg first and enjoy the magic find for the whole session. It's especially worth doing on the higher difficulties where there are some really good unique items. Uniques on normal difficulty are a bit less impressive, although there are a couple of amazing ones. Just note that if you plan on farming e.g. cows for armor bases for runewords then you shouldn't do the easter egg because you won't get many white drops with all that magic find.
@@Forty2de I leveled my paladin last night and am struggling to find the crystal sword base with sockets so I can try and make that runeword that I’ve been told is really good 😓
Btw, 3 socketed shields are fairly good in the early game. One of the quests in act 5 gives you three runes: Ral, Ort and Tal. If you socket RalOrtTal into a shield then you'll get Ancient's Pledge which has pretty good resistances. There are better runewords of course but if you don't have any of those then this one is very nice.
@@jukexjuke Well, here's another one. When you start farming The Countess on Nightmare difficulty you'll gain access to some really good runewords. One of them is Rhyme (Shael + Eth) which you put in a 2 socket shield. It's super easy to get, and very good for non-paladins. It has Cannot Be Frozen so you won't get slowed (except against Duriel because his Holy Freeze works differently) and +25% Magic Find and +50% Gold Find. Its +25% all resistances is slightly lower than Ancient's Pledge though.
Nightmare Countess also gives you access to Insight for your merc (Big damage + INFINITE MANA) and the Lore runeword for helmets with +1 all skills. Definitely grab Spirit, Insight and Lore.
I’m currently running a bone spear necro as my solo self found hardcore char good tricks for starting out and getting through normal is putting 2 tir runes in ur helm till lore and when ur merc has insight its one the most heavy mana hungry builds i also have that shield looks like skulls that has 20fcr and 5 mana on kill can use it at lvl 20 till u can find lidless or make spirit or find homo shield but I found sometimes I can get enough mana back ish to help also got a ring with 1 mana on kill also I like using Iron Maiden with iron golem for first 3 bosses also shop act 2 vendor by the exit of the town for 2os wands or find one with plus 3 to bone spear and make urself a white wand you need dol and io rune will be a great help and later highly recommend bone armor runeword but I’m on hc so stealth will last a good while also prayer merc with cure and insight is bad ass there’s a lot of cool stuff u can do with necro happy hunting 🤙🏻

@@jukexjuke I’ll have to look up the name of the style of wand but the bone ones are safe there’s one that if u use the socket cube recipe it will always only get 1 socket so avoid those the trick is to do it at lvl 17 but some the wands are 100k ish so if u have a higher char to farm gold u will find it sometimes takes a hour but it’s almost best in slot honestly for dmg

Runes are Dol + Io, and you must find a base with +skills at merchants to put them in (google how to farm them, it's easy if you're in single player). Also bone spear will become increasingly less effective in higher difficulties, and corpse explosion increasingly more powerful.
The Dark Wanderer outside the act 3 town is the same Dark Wanderer that Marius follows in the cinematics. You finally caught up to him but then he teleports away.
There isn't an easter egg for those ghost. but there is a fun fact you might be referring too. Basically they have a higher chance to drop runes. Also look into bone armor skill for your necro. Also you can be bone spear and have a few skeletons still. Also keen to see you get a merc working correctly. Also look up splendor runeword for necro off hand. Find a +3 bone spear necro off hand and with 2 open sockets. Also look for 2 open socket wand with +3 bone spear and make white runeword in it. Good luck. Glad to see you sticking with the game. gg
