This is by far the best video on two color Brioche I've seen here on RUclips. I'm still struggling with getting the stiches right. But, I'm not giving up!!

This is the best instructional video I have seen for Brioche knitting, and the fact that you knit Continental style makes it even easier for me because I just can’t do it English-style, and that’s what all the other videos seem to be. Thank you!

Your instructions are so clear! I am still going to have to watch this probably 20 more times, but I completely understood everything you were doing!

Thank you for writing this out in the notes in addition to the video. After knitting along with the video, the notes section really solidified my understanding of when I do what. So helpful!

THis is the best explanation and demonstration I've seen of this technique. I still may need to watch a few more times but now it makes sense to me.

Thank you for this tutorial. It was super helpful. I find your explanation so clear and easy for me to understand. I am now set to brioche away to my hearts content.

The Yarn over is, indeed, a subtle movement, like you said. I appreciate your lightness. It helped get me out of my frustrated, "I can't get it!!!!!!" mind frame. And I was able to get it! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this most helpful video and for including written instructions too! I tried several other videos but couldn't make sense. With yours it just seems like the most natural thing to be doing. Though I keep wanting to purl my S1yo's!!

Thank you for this video. Your instructions are very easy to understand. I really appreciate having the written instructions, as well. I printed them and follow them as I go. It really helps knowing on which side to drop my yarn at the end of a row, because I was getting the the twists of the contrasting color showing on the edges . The tip to put a marker on the right side also helped. I have knitted a few inches, but at this point, I can't look at my work and tell where I am, so I am being very methodical in doing each row, and every little bit of help is appreciated!

Thank you so much for this. I'm doing my first brioche project, a cowl and you might not think this would be helpful but it solved my problem! I'm a continental knitter and trying to figure out how to ergonomically go from a slip purlwise to a knit without losing the yarn over. So simple when I saw you do it! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I've avoided brioche because people get spooked by it. You make it not look so scary , so will have to try it.

I just knew you’d have an awesome video and explain it soooo well, thank you Andrea so much!
I’m just starting a test knitting (I do them a lot) BUT I’ve never tried brioche before....yup and going to do a sweater.....kinda nervous but mostly excited!
I’ve knitted for xxx years (let’s just say dozens lol) and never tried brioche but this video made it honestly look much easier than I ever though, I was super intimidated until now, so thank you so much for all you do for the fibre community! Barb.

Thank you, Andrea! I started brioching thanks to you! Maybe it is because of burps and barks :)? Anyway, you made this very clear and helpful. Best regards!

Ok, this was easy to follow for my first time trying this, but if I put it down I’m not sure if I should be knitting or purling.

I think I’ll be pinning a progress keeper to the side I’m to start back up on when I put it down, just my thought for now anyway, maybe that’ll help?

Occasionally my contrast colour will accidentally cross over half of a knit stitch and I can't work past it 🥲
I know it sounds vague but I can't figure out how to fix/prevent it '':(

I get confused for the last stitch, sometimes you slip it and sometimes you knit it, is there a trick to remember? Otherwise a very clear tutorial 😊thank you

    • @dreareneeknits
      @dreareneeknits  2 года назад +2

Hi there! The edge stitches are only worked with the Main color. So on right side rows when you do the main color pass, you will knit the first and last stitch. Then for the contrast color pass you will just slip them without working. On wrong side rows you will purl the first and last stitch with on the main color pass and again just slip them out of the way on the contrast color pass :)
