There is no OG and dancer in this earth that still dance right now archive and create more than mr wiggles, no one man, his contribution not only in popping also bboy and hiphop is undeniable man. He also do all of hiphop elements like graffiting,djing and other stuff. 60% of what greenteck have today is from mr wiggle and many other popper. Really glad u post this video respect to u robert

Such a great marketer so ahead of his time. He realized early that he was a brand and he represented himself well. I purchased those DVDs in the early days and could not believe it he was giving this information away and he was the only one out there doing that! So many other dances regarding their secrets selfishly not realizing in the process they were making themselves broke while he was helping to build his financial base. That was so shrewd and so New York! L O L all about the Benjamins using your skill to get it. Of course I support him being in New York or myself. I had the pleasure of attending one of his New York seminarsAnd it was informative and productive we spoke afterwards and I found him to be for real I’ll never forget what he said to me keep dancing dance and keeps you young
This series is really growing on me. I love watching killer dance moves and it's great hearing some of the background on things and some of the names of moves from someone who knows.

Amazing... Don't forget he was on Beat Street that makes him not 90's but 80's Hip Hop dancer [he performed with Pop Master Fabel on Xmas scene .
I'm coming late to your series but I'm really enjoying it. What I find interesting is your reference to Mr Wiggles and the 90s. To those of us old enough he was very definitely a dancer from the 80s, and not even the late 80s. Remember Wild Style came out in '82 and I was copying his moves (badly) in the school canteen circa '85. I guess all this only goes to show just how influential he's been, not just to b-boys today, but literally to generations. There's something quite special about seeing these older b-boys still at it... and he's still got it.

@@noikfkzn5305 - Mr. Wiggles from the early 1990s would smoke everyone popping today. There is no comparison! I had a homie back in 2002 who was the very best in my region that told me that he battled Wiggles (mid to late 1990s) and got smoked by him. You may have been too young to understand, but Wiggles was OUR popper, of that pocket era in 1997-2004. Ask any popper of back then if they were influenced by him or not. Perfect example, Tommy Boy.
For a dancer to be able to still move the way he does despite his past injuries is Golden to recreate. Mosr dancer with great knees can't do half of the stuff he does, can you? Not even the young, and he was part of creating it....So stand up and SALUTE....The greatest.
Actually wiggles credited ballet dancer Mikael Baryshnikov has being the one who inspired his signature wiggles walk move. Wiggles mentions that he was watching the movie, and “the turning point,“ and saw the ballet dancer performing that maneuver which he practiced himself and modified. That’s a bit of information he didn’t have to comment on as many people probably would not have even looked at a ballet movie but he mentioned that he investigated all forms of dance movement to see if he could find something to incorporate which proves he was dedicated to the art of dancing and also that he was humble enough to credit who influenced him. Wiggles is awesome also because he hadThe street art called jail house or the 52 into his dance movement which he also mentions in another interview
What’s great about wiggles is that he truly LOVES2 DANCE so many dancers just run through a series of memorize choreograph sequence of“ moves“. Wiggles always seems like he’s inventing the stuff on the spot I know he practices them but I get the feeling He’s so connected to the music and in the moment that he invented on the spot. Even in the areas where he was technically weak like in my opinion tutting He covers his shortcomings well. I’m not hating because I’ve heard in interviews with his criticized himself for his” DUCKTUTS”

I had a Mr. Wiggles VHS tape back in the day, pre-internet, and I was shocked and amazed to find him on instagram like a year ago and see that he's still killing it. Like you say, there's not a lot of OGs doing still doing it at a high level after decades. Very inspiring.
Robert, back when you started this series it inspired me to go on a Wiggles history binge! Wigs was really setting the bar high 30 years ago. He is to break dancing what Rodney Mullen is to skateboarding. The great Greenteck probably watching this and learning. I think they are still trying to get what Wiggles got! Ha! :)
"Pop N Taco" is the Legend. It is so hard to find his footages. I would appreciate it a lot if you can do that !. Also Hugo aka Mr.smooth. Would be really cool if you can do "Gucchon", "Popping J"

Wiggles gives a lot of credit for his dancing but he was also a serious graffiti artist and I think he did many of the backdrops on his video himself. He was totally immersed in hip-hop culture he lived it which is only natural that he came from the birthplace of it
Clemente(Wigz) is without doubt THE BEST popper in hiphop history. The master of a hundred styles and a thousand moves, Mr. Wiggles is without equal.

When limewire was a thing, I found a Mr. Wiggles video in a battle doing tuts and knee spins. That was the first time I seen a popper.

First time I saw wiggles in the 90s he inspired me to become a better dancer. I own all of his videos. Funny you talk about liquid pop collection.. I use to know some of those guys and have battled some of those guys back in the day at some raves in ATL and here in Charlotte NC. Boy those were the days. The dance scene was so good then around here. These kids now days have no clue how to dance.
Robert, thank you for this and all the other videos you've created in this series. You cover a nice variety of styles and throw in a few OGs as well. Wiggles is a beast and he's been around for everything in the past forty years. He's like the street dance version of Zelig. (I'm probably dating myself with that reference.)
A couple of questions.
First, in your opinion, who are the best overall dancers with skills in more than one style? Wiggles obviously has B-Boy and popping skills, but who else would you throw into that august company?
Second, I know people like yourself and Otis Funkmeyer are students of dance, whether street or other styles, but are there any efforts being made to write down street dance history or videotape interviews of different style OGs in an effort to create an archive for posterity. There are RUclips videos but it's all a bit piecemeal. I am afraid that although there are many threads of information, mostly anecdotal and word of mouth, there may not be any authoritative history of street dance available for future dancers and dilettantes like myself.
