- Do you need "GROW LIGHTS" lets compare some cheap Amazon grow lights to some cheap Amazon shop lights.
I needed to get more lights to grow more Goji berry starts so I decided to get some cheap ones from Amazon because I was using shop lights and I thought "grow" lights would be better after all I was trying to grow things!!!!!
After seeing the results I would not get the grow lights. The shop lights were cheaper, You get more and grew the berries better and looked healthier. However I would only say that for the lights reviewed as I believe there are some great expensive grow lights out there, but If you cant afford them just get some cheap shop lights they do just fine.

Clear winner. Weird color on the grow light plants. Would be interesting to know why
Too much far red in the spectrum caused the taller growth and thinner leaf, then the color issue is simply the grow lights used here don't have enough green spectrum or white spectrum, this is why the shop lights with more neutral green and white light made the leaves greener with short stocky growth and fatter leaves!
I have found a spectrum rated around 3000-4000k grows the best indoors.
So shop lights with a 2700k to 5000k will grow anything! hahahahahah
been using these lights for about 5 years now. great for veg mode.
Good to know 👍
@@ozarkshomesteadandfarm actually used a razor and cut off plastic strip that protects lights. made them way stronger. so strong i had to raise them a good 6 inches cause they burned plants. just fyi. i watched a tutorial on them. grower did same thing
