This is the installation video for J Tech Photonics lasers installed on the Onefinity Elite Series machines with the Masso controller. It goes over installing the hardware, configuring the Masso, and configuring Lightburn.

Will be be a future video showing how to adjust potentiometer to dial in laser?
I wish your video came out earlier, it is great. Would have saved me a lot of time.

Awesome, well done! Now I can't wait to set mine up...
You can do it!
Thanks for the video. But there is one major question I have. Is how do you actually hook the Jtecj to the Masso controller. You shows how you put the power box on the back of the controller but I did not see any wires being connected to the actual Masso controller??? Am I missing something???
Plug the connection cord from the jtech controller to the back of the masso controller into the port labeled 'laser'.
@@OnefinityCNC thanks. I knew it was a simple answer, but I haven’t received mine yet so didn’t know there was a dedicated plug. Thanks!!!
I missed the part where you connected the laser controller to the Masso controller.
Just plug the little molex into the 'laser port' on the back of the controller! Easy!
@@OnefinityCNCI'm sure it's easy, once I receive my machine and if I decide to purchase this option. My point is you spend two minutes showing how to run cable through the cable chain but fail to show the most important part of connecting the laser interface to the Masso controller. Then I'm the idiot!
I agree. It sounds simple but I don’t know all the different connections on the Masso
@@chrispelletier3661 They are labeled on the back of the masso. The one for the laser is marked: "laser"
Does the 16 watt laser require air assist because my journeyman elite wasn’t supplied with a nozzle for air assist?
Thanks
the 14w does not, but performs even better with it. Air assist on 7 and 14 is an optional add on that would need to be purchased direct from jtech.
I have my 24 watt JTech laser installed on my Elite Masso and when I select output 11 there is no laser engraver pwm listed. It is simply missing in the list. However, when I select Multi Head laser engraving/cutting does show up there. I follow those steps and set up the MDI T111 M6 and hit run but the tool does not change. Why is output 11 not showing laser engraving pwm?
sounds like your default configuration has been changed. see: forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/elite-series-masso-default-machine-settings/17451
I saved the test file in Lightburn, but Masso Link says it isn't a gcode file? It saved as 'test.gc'. Do I need to transfer the file to the Masso USB instead of using Masso Link?
And is there a way to connect directly to my Elite Foreman so I can move the machine through Lightburn?

Any chance you can put youtube chapters in here. Thanks for this tutorial.
We'll try next time!
Hmmm... just received the JTech 14 watt laser and my cabling looks nothing like this. Oh, well, I think I can figure it out.
Yes, this one was for the 7, but they are quite similar!
