Is it just me or does it look like the crash test fake dog's carabiner is not correctly attached as per the install instructions? Or, is that part of the crash test procedure?
I've just rewatched the video from years ago that tested several brands, and yes, the Kurgo that failed there was incorrectly attached. In the slow motion film you can see the seatbelt attachment carabiner is attached to the leash clip on the back, which Kurgo - and THIS video - clearly say NOT to do. It's unfortunate because Kurgo did actually do their own testing and when watching both videos, you can see the difference. My dog has this Kurgo harness and I make sure I do it correctly. Fingers crossed we'll never be in a position to prove its effectiveness. 🤞
I love the Kurgo Journey Air, its perfect...BUT. The plastic clips are so unimpressive. Very tiny and they dont look strong or durable at all. Sadly, I can't buy the JA for that reason, so I'm still searching. This harness has great buckles but doesn't look anywhere near as comfortable and the JA.
