Moxley dropping the GCW title to Gage is exactly why Bryan Danielson should've been Tony Khan's #1 choice for the AEW world title since the first Arthur Ashe Stadium show. All the bad booking decisions from that moment on has led to disaster after disaster for AEW. Even if Bryan Danielson himself has admitted that he doesn't need to be the man, he really needs to be the Man in AEW. But that boat might've already sailed by now and pretty much we're probably stuck with Moxley for a while as champion because they've booked themselves into this predicament and I can't see how they're going to get out.
They’re gonna rush put that belt on MJF and his first reign will be disappointing.

What are these mythical disasters for AEW that have come out of Mox winning the title over Danielson?
Danielson could have given us a consistent year+ of incredible matches as either babyface or heel, but instead we got this.
Literally every decision around the aew championship since Jericho being the first had been wrong.
I love some Moxley but it's funny that Jim is talking about his love to fight bank addicted drug robbers and Moxley literally dropped the GCW world title to Nick Gage last night 🤣

His new contract includes coaching and mentorship, which means that we'll see more AEW wrestlers bleeding every 3 minutes, staying and brawling outside the ring for another 3 minutes, no-selling finishers, and weird entrances.

Joey Janella would be a perfect Great Value fake Jericho. At this point who’d notice the switch?? Tony also gets to save big bucks and doesn’t have to inhale peripheral empty wine glass farts by being near a bloated egotistical washed up wrestler and never was crock star.
I’m a fan of AEW but when Jim dropped the meteoric fall line, even I got a chuckle from it. The timing was just too perfect 😂
I absolutely love AEW. It has reignited my love for pro wrestling and is my favorite promotion. With that said, I equally enjoy Jim absolutely ripping it to shreds 🤣

Then Meltzer comes out and says "Moxley wants everyone to know he is staying with AEW! He doesn't want anyone thinking he'd go to WWE or use WWE to get more money from Mr. Khan."

@@HereBeRabbit Crash Holly also had a good Doubleunder DDT. He called it the C.S.T and used it in TNA and I belive a couple times in his WWE run.
It looked good and impactful. Imo Crash was a solid worker that could have a good match with anyone. If he was in his prime today I could see him as a mid card champ in WWE or AEW since he's a smaller guy who can work like a pro with some charisma and a good physique.
Imo if he didn't have depression and kill himself in 2003 he would've probably eventually became a great trainer or coach. He would've fit in as a performance center trainer or an OVW trainer or whatever.
It actually completely revolves around how big his opponent is a.d how shit he happens to be on the day, it's either a trash set or a ugly looking double undertook duplex, or a reckless sloppy and dangerous looking brainbuster

That last portion really rings well when it comes to the return of Moxly. I hated his run before he went into rehab and hoped that a more focused Moxly would emerge. Needless to say he hasn't changed his style much , even though he's got William Regal

I think he really earned this after being as dependable as he was when the other guys were acting like children. He stepped up. He stayed out of everything. He earned the fans’, his peers, and his boss’ respect. Now can he coach? I guess we’ll see. However, he deserved a contract extension.
Yeah, I'm no fan of Moxley, but I have to admit that he's established himself as the most dependable main eventer they have and it seems like he really wants to be "the guy" to make the company go, so it's not surprising Tony has decided to reward that. As to how much actual coaching he'll do, who knows? I get the sense that it's just formalizing the notion that Tony wants him to be a locker room leader.

Like him or not and we can crack all the jokes we want, Moxley is probably the most popular wrestler outside wwe by a decent amount. It is smart of Tony to lock him up for as long as possible. It's mass hypnosis lol They're not succeeding or growing. There are no metrics that can prove that.
