Love your channel and Thank you so much for making these videos! My dad refuses to get new gear and loves his jigmaster 500 S and senator. They have caught a lot of fish over the years and needed some work. Thanks to your channel, I was able to service them all and replace all of the drag washers... once I convinced him to let me of course😂.

I've purchased a handful of reels off of ebay, that were not functioning properly, but with your channel and mystic reel parts, I came out the winner.

Hello Dennis - It's shame that fishing reel had been neglected like that for never being
serviced from a few fishing trips or maybe some other reason but in the long run you
did a wonderful job to restore it back to working once again for a second chance of fishing .
    Very Good Video .

In the last few years I've found two Penn jigmasters that must have been yanked in by a fish and then found a few weeks or months later and left by the beach trash cans. I was able to refurbish them back to perfect working condition, and the before and after pictures are amazing. :) I was also given another jigmaster and a baitmaster reel from a friend and I also brought those back as well. One of them is giving me an issue, and I need to take it apart to double check everything. Your videos are the reason I was able to quickly and correctly get those reels back in working order. Today is sept 15th 2024 and I was walking on the beach sidewalk in carlsbad California and I watched a couple of guy pick up and look at a water logged rod and reel and shake their heads, and put it back. I walked by and noticed it was in the water for awhile, due to a few small mussels were on it, and it looked bad. I took it home and it was dirty inside but the grease did it's job. The only issue is the corrosion on the aluminum spool has created some very rough spots. I either need to sand those down or buy another spool...but the reel will live again either way. You're awesome and I appreciate all your hard work. :)

I don’t usuaually send one back until I’ve at least diagnosed the problem. Then I take pictures and contact the seller. One seller tried to tell me he would have refunded if I had not opened the reel. Needless to say I sort of blew up. End result was he did refund both cost and shupping and gave me the reel. That was because my pictures proved it could not be repaired. That has happened about 10 times over 300+ purchased on various sites. Great job on this Jigmaster! - Chris

A testament to the U.S. made Penn reels. All my Penn Reels are U.S. made. Don't think I'd buy a Chinese made model either. Great video Dennis!

Fair enough! Yes - I have seen more problems with the Jigmasters made in China. Different metals used and more issues with those parts breaking or seizing up on the newer models
