- Andrew met up with a friend who bought a metal detector and came home with $100 worth of inventory. What did he buy? He left me on my own to find out.

As someone who has collected the old Fiesta for years, I believe that the pieces you have are the old Fiesta. Not only are those all the correct old colors, but the plates of the old Fiesta tend to be flatter than the newer Fiesta.
Ashtray's could be used instead of plates in a wall collage. They'll create a nice 3 dimensional effect.
ohhh I like that Idea 💛
The green horn you showed was air brushed with three different greens undercoats then fired a clear glaze is applied then fired again. The gold comes in a gram bottle applied over glaze and fired a third time. I had a ceramic studio for a long time and had ceramic classes.
We used to make the lawnware lamps at home in the 90's. They were sold as regular plastic pots and then we drilled them and inserted the little 3 point plastic crafts beads into the holes.
I never knew this. Thank-you for sharing. I come across them a lot and always thought they seemed home-made. 😂
I remember people doing that.
People still make these today. We camp at the Beach in SC and people sell these at the campground.
Crazy Lamp Lady The needle work small quilt you have on eBay is more than likely a doll blanket! My moms grandmother made her one and it’s more than 82 yrs old! I have my mamas baby quilt framed to preserve it! Mama told me that in those times they would throw left over scraps together to make baby doll blankets for the little ones dolls! Thought I’d share!
I do believe we should henceforth be calling you, "The Crazy Box Lady!" ha ha ha What an interesting collection of goodies. I hope you have great fun metal detecting and find things you have never found before, just to make it even more interesting. Thanks for the fun and have a great day!!!
The Fiesta green is the original green. Highly sought after.
The stuff you use to clean chrome car bumpers works well on those old chrome pieces.
wonderful unboxing once again....love it! I watch you every day and can't tell you how much I enjoy your channel, stay well, keep your chins up and God Bless you and yours!
I love just relaxing and watching your videos. You and Andrew have a GREAT chemistry, keep that alive!
I agree Faye!! Love it
Fiesta is always a tough one for me. I only relate to those colors that I remember eating off of in the 1960s. Collecting seems to be more memory driven, in my case anyway.
the recent unpleasantness was not in vain. it helped me deal with a past hurt. i appreciate you.
The “Celery dish” with the smaller dishes are from Japan. The large dish used for the main course, smaller dishes are used for the different sauces.
I was in Homegoods and an older woman asked me if i known where to buy ashtrays. She was looking for them but no main retailers sell them anymore. It was the first time I realized I haven’t seen ashtrays for sale. I told her to go try thrift stores. I didn’t think she’d shop online :)
I find some fabulous ones at thrift stores, as you know. ☺️
Thank you for all of your videos and your information sessions. I have learned so much from you and I look forward to watching you every day!
Thanks, Beth. ☺️
That ashtray would make an adorable planter for ivy which would hide the wear
I need that basket! I've been looking for a basket like it for when I harvest my garden.
I think the 4 waterers are from the 70's. I got one like the turtle around 1976.
Good video again as always
Jocelyn
the bag or purse whatever that is is my favorite along with the fox or whatever that animal with the handle pitcher was a favorite also
Thank you for a wonderful video
I enjoyed this video and I love to hear your birds in the background and especially when they make a guest appearance. Yes, I am a pet lover, mine or anyone else's!!!!
I loved the cool "finds" in the box today! especially the luster ware and the huge tray!
The Catalina piece was used for putting the flamingo figurines in in the 1950's
I thought maybe... I remembered Jeffrey looking at one when we were at an antique shop.
Considering my family ate off Fiesta over 50 years, all of mine are original and early Fiesta was not always marked. The turquoise and yellow don't look the right shades. The few plates I have have scratches. You have to check the marks of where they were released on the back to sometimes determine how old it is. I love my serving dishes, pitchers, carafes and etc. and hope my daughter's want them.
I'm so excited to see some Fiestaware. I need those in my life.
Comfy you! Enjoyed seeing you looking comfortable and loved your couch! Some really interesting pieces enhanced by your knowledge! Blessed and safe days!
Fiesta collector...that is the old fiesta....there's different green's but the medium green is the most valuable
Ill watch no matter whst your content just love you n drew
I know those hanging patio lamps were all the rage with the 60+ crowd back in the nineties. My inlaws and their friends made their own from plastic planters that came with a drip tray and they drilled holes in the planter and then glued in the beads.
As to that flower lot lamp with all the bead s, I designed that years ago for my Bible school class for their craft work. After that they were everywhere at flea markets.
Joc, look again at the Ben Siebel piece. It looks like birds to me.
Thank you! I miss my junk stores so much! This helps...I love your treasures!
A wolf/pig playing a mandolin! :)
Nice haul! I love atomic designs
Thanks for these unboxing videos! Living my thrifting life vicariously through you. You guys are so much fun. Keep on keepin’ on.
OMG I love those critter waterers for the garden! I need to have them in my life please!
I’m going to try to get some of this stuff listed this evening.
@@CrazyLampLady by the way, you've made me start googling lawn lamps. I've not seen one before, it's soooo cute!!
Those soil moisture things are really cute! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before
The unglazed pointy part buried into the soil is porous, allowing the water inside to very slowly seep into the soil keeping plant roots moist but not soggy.
@@barbrapierce3269 interesting! I have some potted plants, I'm gonna have to watch for them to come up on her Ebay
I love halloween items. That blanket was fantastic.
Great surprise haul! Enjoy your metal detecting, it’ll be nice for you and Andrew to get outside and away from everything for a while. Enjoy yourselves!
Love your channel Jocelyn. Do you ever run into swung glass? I feel that it gets passed on cuz it would be hard to ship. I want to start a small collection of different colors. Glass is my favorite. I do love the Haeger planters also. I plan on getting a tidbit tray from Sue and hope to get some great colored glass from you and Jeffrey from Real Nifty Vintage. You 3 keep me sane during this time. I am not a thrifter but I will start going to the thrift stores and looking for items that you talk about. Again, thank you for posting content every day,. I so look forward to it. Have a great time detecting today.
Pat I think she collects it. 😊
I LOVE THE TREEEEEEE LAMPS!! *drooling* I need to get rich quick so I can hunt them :P :D

So many great pieces! I love the in boxing videos - it's like Christmas morning every time. My mother had the full set of the Chromex canisters. I wish we knew when we were kids that so much of the every day things around our homes would be valuable some day. We would have paid more attention to it.
Omg i want the pink and blue leaf dish soooooooo badd
Nice job, Mike. Lots of pretty stuff. Well done. Fun video too.
Andrew really knows what delights you.
The Fiesta is in wonderful condition. Truly the original. I have some of the same pieces and I got them from my mother-in-law. She knew her stuff.
The upside down planter turned hanging lamp with colored lights Is probably 1980s. I purchased one in the late 80s when we used to go camping a lot and we would hang those from the awnings of our campers. They were pretty popular in campsites.
That pink and blue "dish" cold be for chips.
Only if you want to put chips in a piece that probably will go for $200-300. It's Catalina Clay ware from Catalina CA, about 25 miles across the ocean from Los Angeles. I think the factory went out of business in the 1950s, but the ceramics were popular in the 1930s & '40s. Their glazes were amazing; demi-matte. Catalina pieces are pretty rare now. The one you have is a beauty. And the Salem pieces are from the company's Free Form line - not sure, but the Hopscotch pattern may have been designed by the great industrial designer Viktor Schreckengost. Mike has a terrific eye, and these pieces alone probably paid for your boxes at least 3 or 4 times over.
Colored glass looks wonderful in window! Virtual hug for Andrew for bringing in the haul!
Best box ever
That spotted mushroom glaze was super popular in the early seventies. I painted several mushrooms at a ceramics place with that same glaze.
Did you say home tour?😊...my favorite type of YT videos ever! Ok, now I’m excited. You just made my day!
I LOVE THE ROYAL HAEGAR!!😍😍😍
Me tooooo! :)
The carved whitish onyx dog is a basset. I can tell from the ears.
I’ve sold tons of that Toyo black lacquer stuff. Tons. Always pick it up. Nice surprise haul. That fox or whatever pitcher is incredible!
Love the dishes
The blue and pink leaf is beautiful!
HAGER, he,he,he! Precious ❤️
Lots of ideas how the clean vintage kromex. Baking soda, lemon juice etc.
Great stuff in those boxes!
A few months ago before all this mess started, I thought if joc and drew fell on hard times, they could sell some of the treasures in their home because their goodies are fan-Tastic! I love the way Jocelyn says that word
I love that yellowish seashell entertaining plate!
Pink & blue dish: would make a good deviled egg dish, and place some coordination food in the middle or place a smaller bowl of potato salad or something
Yah, new goodies. Love the ashtray and mushroom!!
Loved seeing Haeger that I've never seen before. Thanks for the video.
Looking at your glassware in the windows!!! When is our house tour?
Fiestaware is highly sought after in my area, the Alabama Gulf Coast. After my mother in law passed away, several people wanted the marigold egg plate.
What great items! I can’t wait to go thrifting again. Maybe.....next week!?
Tanya Lindsey 🤞
Yes Thank you Mike♥ I can't wait to get out there with my Garrett At Pro!!! Love you Joce♥
Good luck out there! We were just out yesterday. ☺️
That glass axe looks like a roofing tool. Old roofers used the hammer end to nail the shingles and the blade to cut off excess shingle to fit, and then nail it down. I’ve used one. It had leather wrapping on the handle with that crisscross design. Nice piece.
Thanks. Nice video.
Good job!
Lower case letters on fiesta is vintage. You are correct
The pink and blue tray could be for succulents.
Oh, yes. That makes sense.
@12:38. That looks like one of those popular Zuni beads! @19:43 That could make a great dish for a large order of fancy deviled eggs. @21:21. It does make sense!
Loving your longer hair 😂
love the colorful plates and the orange ashtray
Do you like that hangout lamp? I just bought a new place in December 2021 that had one of those hanging in the kitchen. I thought it was homemade from a planter. Mine doesn’t have the bottom piece. If you like I would gladly send it to you.
That lawncraft thing looks like it would fit in a Tiki theme.
Yes! It would go great with the bamboo lounge set in the warehouse!
Love those plant waters, I have a frog, will watch for the others in your shop!
Love the rose decorated plate from Bavaria!
Haeger glaze is Mauve Agate. Hull had a series with an oceanic theme which I can’t remember the name of right now but I think your shell may be part of that series.
Check if that ax glows under black light! I bet it does!
I love the cow/fox pitcher!
That blue and pink low bowl looks like a deviled egg display piece.
I don’t get excited about Hager....it’s just not my style.....but OH my goodness! That Royal Hager dish is everything! Love the colors!! I really loved everything in this haul! 🤩
I always look forward to your videos everyday, especially now...ty for continuing to post.
Thanks for continuing to watch. ☺️
The carved stone dog is onyx. Side note: most black onyx that you buy is white onyx that has been dyed.
I hate when you say something is vintage and I actually owned some of them back in the day!
Why
Makes her vintage too. Lol
My understanding is vintage is anything over 30 years up to 100. Antique is 100+! I love seeing the stuff we grew up with come back as vintage trendy
@@suezk7512 Because it is a reminder of how old I am. You are obviously young. Wait. You will find that as your body gets old, your mind doesn't. It gets better and sharper and you know so much more and you actually gain wisdom. Your body gets worse, and you have a disconnect between mind and body. Then you see in a reflection of your self unawares in a store window or are remind of how old you are by remembering something from many years ago when you were very young. It's like a slap of reality.
@@jameseenacoene7680 Well said, it has to be experienced to truly understand it.
Those lamps often were handmade by people.....they used light brite pegs and drilled holes in them along with a light used for camping....
It’s easy to tell old fiesta because the glaze goes over the whole bottom. Newer fiesta has a dry foot, unglazed white ring. Definitely old fiesta.
Interesting! Thank-you.
I think buyers from movie sets would be customers for your store.
the fox and frog looked like majolicka to me
Ooh like the bag/basket.
I love the tree lamps.
Too funny! I said glass axe at the same time you did.
Awesome pick, Drew did awesome on the haul. Wondering what you will keep? Love what you do.
All of it. ☺️ We bought it all.
I would put two new harps on those wood looking lamps, and keep the expanders. Use old harps taken off use on other lamps.
One wasn't removable, I'd have to take it apart, unfortunately.
Cyd in MD. I noticed this morning that yours and three other RUclipsrs I watch did not come into my email as notice of NEW video. I'm perplexed.
Every so often, I think RUclips unsubscribes people for no good reason.
@@CrazyLampLady Maybe so. It looks as though I am still subscribed. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
Dan Setzer have you checked your junk folder? I find a lot of my YT alert emails in there when I look.
By the subscribe button there is a bell. Check it to make sure it says “all”. Happened to me once and it corrected it. Good luck. 🙂
Whoooweeee there was a lot of MCM in those boxes 😍 I had to catch myself and wipe the drool off my mouth at one point 😂😂😂🤤
Right?!
I'm with you about the atomic ware. The designs are really good. I'll have to jump over to your metal detecting channel. Stay safe and well.
Awhile back you sold a frog pitcher similar to this animal pitcher and it was missing it’s handle and very whimsical. I found one like it at Salvation Army with the handle for $7. It’s Henriksen Imports, frog on lily pad with handle made like a stem with flower bud on top of the handle. I just did a quick search since the wolf pitcher was so similar. Yep, the frog and fox/wolf are both listed on eBay.The listing for the wolf said it was marked and was a fox or possum holding a mandolin in the Majolica style, asking $40. Sold items are less than that. There are tons of cute animal pitchers like them, so check it out. 😊
