LOVE seeing your process super helpful, and there's literally never been a better time to start selling on ebay then now, the past few weeks ebay has been literally printing me money! Especially since the majority of people are stuck at home nowadays, highly recommend people that are thinking about selling to just go for it, time to build your empires!!! 💪🔥🤑
This video was extremely helpful. I am currently only selling on Marketplace, but it was nice to see an actual step-by-step eBay listing unfold. This lessened my anxiety about potentially diving into the eBay world of listing. Thanks, guys!
This video was sooo interesting.....great to see the back rooms, how the photos are taken, working out the descriptions, explaining packing and posting....I just really enjoyed it all. I know I'm nosey but it's all really interesting. I'd love to see how you do research on the items. Some of Andrew's memorabilia would be brilliant.
I take pictures of all my items I want to sell first on my phone. I still write listings on my computer just because I am slow with my phone and my scale is right there to weigh items. I then save draft. Later, I crop and adjust lighting on pictures on my phone and add them to listings and list. Usually while sitting on my couch. Lately, while watching RUclips videos on my TV! CrazyLampLady is my favorite! 😀
Thank you, I needed this. Especially that last few seconds with the animals! I have been trying to start listing and have been procrastinating. You have just motivated me to get my rear in gear!! 💓
This has been the most valuable and timely video that I was only vaguely aware I needed. THANK YOU! Yayyyyyyyyy. VERY HELPFUL.
Wow! Great tutorial for selling on EBay!! I’ve always been curious about how it’s done!! Loved your intro, too!! 🤣🤣🤣
IPhone & coffeeeeee gal here!!! Love y'alls banter! Thank you for the videos to help us all get through this!
I love this. I have never listed on any platform but would like to try and can’t believe I don’t need a special camera just my phone, which is Android. This was so cool.
Indeed. What a revolution it is with technologies.
I would love to see a video on how you identify what the item is.
Oh my gosh.... this video was so helpful. I take pics on my Iphone, download from Icloud, and do the listing on my computer. I never knew how easy it was to list directly from the phone. Thanks for teaching me something so important and so needed. Appreciate you two!
This vid is sooo considerate of you both! Thank-you for your patience to take this time to explain the Ebay selling process in detail.
This was a fun different kind of video! 5 lightboxes, lol.
Hi Jeffrey!
You can never have too many! Just like coffee mugs... and converse sneakers. ☺️
@Real Nifty Vintage What light box do you use
This topic was super helpful to me. Appreciate it!
Thank you for your COMMENT on clearing that up about ITSY
I LOVE YOUR CRAZY LAMP LADY EBAY WEBSITE
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER WONDERFUL VIDEO
ABOUT THE LISTING AN HOW YOU DO IT
YOU AND DREW ARE SO SWEET
TOGETHER
I loved this video! Shows me for sure that I have to invest in a light box. It also show me that it takes me waaayyyy to long to list things. Thank you for sharing this will us. As for talking to the birds at the end of the video, I do the same thing. I also moo at cows, and wave at horses.
Thank you so much for this video. I was just saying I needed a new computer to list on (mine is ancient and keeps going crazy), but now I'm encouraged to use my phone!!! You made it look fun and easy. I love your videos!!
I love your little "german/amish" lady on your shelf! So cute!
Honk, Honk, Gobble, Gobble, Quack, Quack!! Hilarious! Thank you for the much needed laugh! And learning your listed process was very informative too.
I've never made a comment before but I just have to give you both a huge virtual hug. My husband the IT professional HATES, LOATHES, VERBALLY DESTROYS iPhones. I just wanted to say how much I adore your videos and I enjoy them. It's been a wonderful escape from politics, pandemics and the potpourri of hot topics all across social media.
I only use my phone too! I have lots of pictures already loaded so when I have some free time (waiting in line, etc) I can just list them.
Hey Andrew, I am with you - android all the way for me too.
I only use my Apple iPad to list. Never have used my computer. I do it fast and easy. More involved for listing on Etsy. Nice video.
Great job you two! I am so thankful you have been putting out daily videos, it’s keeping me sane!
Would love to see a shipping video for various items. How to ship plates to collectibles - mainly breakable items. Thank you. Love your videos and thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you cll for all your helpful info. One thing that will also help with listing things, if you're listing a lot is putting the swyoe keyboard on your phone. Instead of typing each word you just drag your finger across the keyboard. It's very cool if you're not already using it.
Thanks for the link to the light box. I haven't been selling much but I think that would improve my sales. Keep on keeping on you guys, gives us something to look forward to.
Jocelyn you’re so cute doing your cartwheel!
OMG you guys...this video was the most helpful I have ever seen in order to navigate through listing on Ebay. Thank you so much for sharing.
Androids for the win 🙌!
Danielle Heil Totally!!
Agreed
Yes!
My son showed me EBay about 25 yrs. ago when people listed things without pictures. I sure wish I would have bought stock in it back then! I started buying about 20 yrs. ago to build up my feedback then started selling all the stuff my husband and I collected since the 1970's we got at auctions, garage sales, thrift stores, etc. I haven't sold for about 13 yrs. now but when I retire, I'm going to get into it again. I had a spot in the antique mall but lost money due to rent. So I only did that for about 6 months about a year ago. Way too expensive! Fun video so thank you for the phone tips! Love your channel!
I’ve been looking for a light box, thank you for the tip dear... looks good enough for what I need.... thank you for the help on how to list on eBay... it always looked so difficult...
I'd love a video on where to get packing materials for cheap✨
I ask my friends and family to save their smaller boxes and packing materials from any online orders they get. And then every so often they can drop them off or I pick them up. (if we’re in a lockdown they can put it on my porch or I will pick it up from their porch.) you can break the boxes down, cut the seam and flip it inside out so no other brand name logos show. So then basically all you need to buy is packing tape. I’m not very big time so I refuse to pay for and shipping materials.
Cool video- I prefer iPhone too- i have to say you and Andrew are such a cute couple, it is nice to see couples getting along and laughing. Thank you both for all of your time and effort in your videos, it is much appreciated. Stay safe -take care.
In my experience anyway, maybe my ebay is different, but anything heavier than 1 lb priority the price changes not by ounces but by the pound. so 1 lb 1oz to 2 lb is the same price then changes at 2 lb 1oz, then 3lb 1 oz etc..( not including flat rate).
Haha. That’s what I thought and why I looked so confused. But I’m not going to question the shipping department. I’ll just roll with it.
@@CrazyLampLady Yes, only under 1# is by ounces for first class. Over that, priority goes by the pound! So for that creamer, I'd put 1# 15 oz on the safe side, cuz it would be no different for 1# 1 oz anyway! So you were right LOL
Great video, can you do one with the Android phone too please. 💕💕
Animals, listings and a cartwheel!
Happy hump day!
I want the green fairy lamp on the "not paid" shelf!!!
I want the blue vase with the lady!
If $25 is the difference between food on the table or buying an item on eBay, that customer should not be buying on eBay! Great tutorial! Thanks for the shipping info!
Very informative, thanks! Take care, stay sane. 🌼
Recommendation: Take/Edit photos of Multiple items before Listing,
I try to do 10-25 at a time. Speeds up the process a ton. Nice Video!
That’s what I usually do, but I felt it would lead to confusion for the video so I did it step by step.
would love to see how you pack a lamp? I have a few for sale in my ebay store ,not sold yet, but I dread the day when they do sell, cause then i'll have to pack them ...
Thanks for This! Very informative! 😽
Thank you for doing this video. I learned a lot. I'm thinking of selling on Ebay so this was helpful. You two are great! Love all of your videos.
I never knew selling on EBay was so involved! And all the equipment you need for your business, it boggles my mind!
Thanks for making information like this, that I personally, will never actually use, interesting! Love you guys, wish you well! Stay safe and healthy!
Loved all the fowl life at the end! ❤️
Our antique mall has posted videos of each booth and doing still photos of individual items. We’ve been selling online over the phone and doing mail, pickup, or delivery. Madstyle Vintage is the name, it’s pretty cool what they’ve done. They even did google 360 views.
That’s fantastic!! YAY for your antique mall!
It was very helpful, but I am looking forward to the one you plan to do on pricing. And thank you for packing the cube box so we’ll, I love my art glass😁
I’ve only used my Iphone for listing and making videos for 2 years and i will continue to . it’s so easy ! but i don’t have a light box , i really really should 😖
I really liked this video, havent started my e-bay store, re-my room full of items, due to afraid to list. Afraid it would be to hard. thanks
Joda Barta.....same here and I do need to get a "smarter" phone/other than my old lady phone which only calls the doctor's offices. But now when will that be is the ?? of the week.
Same here, I have alot to list but so scared of messing up
Same!
Go for it people!
I used to sell on ebay maybe 20 years ago, mainly thimbles of all kinds. Hard to get photos of the tiny emblems in the thimbles and had to have a special camera... nowadays so much easier with smart phones that will take a close up pic, and in 2021 Ebay has worked out a lot of the kinks that took me time to navigate through.
Try it, you'll probably like it! 🙂
Talking to yourself is a sign of intelligence. And no one to argue back lol.
Just ordered the photo box. Can’t wait to use it 😃
another great, informative vid! thank you! you may already know this, but i thot i would share this, because it saves me time; there is a 'square' setting on your iphone camera so you don't have to crop the photo afterwar.d. did you know? or did i pay it forward thanks for all you do!!
I love the square setting. Unfortunately, when you do the pictures directly from the app like I did in the video, you can't use the square setting. I typically use it when I'm listing from my camera roll. :)
I really appreciate that you guys are doing the selling videos, very informative. I was buying but had not yet gotten around to selling and now I think that I will tasks the time to writer up description and get everything weighed so that when the time comes I can just put therm up. Thank s again, you are great!
On the Pig, I would pack that in a 6 by 4 by 4 box. If it weighs 6 ounces, the box weighs 4 ounces and as the box is small, packing, even if you use wadded up newspaper or the type of packing paper that many stores use you will use about 4 to 5 ounces of packing plus the weight of the tape and lable and a shipping invoice if you put one inside the box as I do. My shipping invoice is on a regular letter sized piece of paper. That means I can ship this pig planter for a 15 ounce, First Class price, saving my buyer several dollars. The 6 by 4 by 4 boxes that I buy in bulk are very sturdy and I have not had one thing I have shipped in that size of a box arrive broken. I ship most of my coffee mugs in that size box as well as small planters, salt and pepper sets, shot glasses, the small glass ashtrays with advertising on them, etc. It is a great sized box to have on hand and I have found that I don't have to follow the 2" of packing between the item and the inside of the box rule to have the item arrive safely. If I can fit it in the box wrapped in bubble wrap without having to force it in, I can ship it safely. If the item is smaller, I just fill in the empty spaces all around the bubble wrapped item with wadded paper and yes, I use both newspaper and store shipping paper, whichever I have in hand at the time. The Fitz and Floyd I would ship in an 8 by 8 by 8 box and packed, they would weigh under 2 lbs. Have a great day, Vicki. by the way, the bottom of the sugar looks like it has a chip out of the bottom edge or is that simply the way it is shaped?
I do want to say that I've seen other videos like this where people will take photos and tell you not to edit them as far as the color of the item goes because that would be "dishonest." As a photographer I completely disagree. There is something called white balance, and it's basically how the camera picks up colors. So in some lighting something that's yellow might look a little more orange and in another lighting it might look a little more green. Your camera can tries to account for this, and usually does a pretty good job, but it's not perfect. I'm not saying that you have to edit your photos to get the light balance perfect, especially since none of the eBay sellers that I've seen seem to have a problem with people saying the coloring is wrong, but I just wanted to comment on this because it low key feels *more* "dishonest" to not edit your photos. I'm not saying it is dishonest, just that if you want your photos to be as honest as possible that's a great way to do it. That's my little rant and your little photography lesson for the day, and if you read all of this I hope you're having a great day 🤗
We Are All Fritz Of course we have to adjust for white balance & other stuff. Sometimes if you don't you can't see something else important.
We Are All Fritz , interesting comments on color in photos. I have another outlook, not that yours isn’t valid, but most people in the world use smartphone pics. We are aware of color differences. We know we can question the seller. I don’t think there is any dishonesty in not mentioning color lighting differences. Perhaps a blurb explaining would suffice. Hey, back in the day, Kodak film made things more red and Fuji film made things more blue. We used filters. 🤷🏽♀️
I agree @We Are All Fritz. People are basically bidding and buying the photo, so the picture has to represent the item in the most realistic way it can. If that means having to edit the photo, so be it.
Leave it to you two to make listing fun! Thanks for always being here. Peace
Not only is she pretty and smart , she can do also do acrobatics and bird impersinations . You guys are too fun!
...ha ha ha... Super! That ended on a fun note and not on a picture of Andrew holding himself and dancing on one leg...ha ha ha... Loved the farm animals, it reminded me so much of all of ours when I was young! Thanks for the smiles and the laughter. Have a wonderful day!
I enjoy following resellers and there are such a variety of them on RUclips. I noticed you all use USPS and am concerned about the rumor that it will go belly up by mid summer. USPS is such an integral part of your business so I am hoping for the best for all of you!!!
It would definitely be devastating if USPS stopping providing service.
First, thank you so much for the cartwheel - you may want to edit that into your opening :) Second, I really enjoyed this video - as a small re-seller who is always wondering "Am I doing everything right?", it was nice to see I think I am. Appreciate you both!
I learned so much and I've been an on/off again eBay seller but recently put it on the back burner. Maybe I'll come back around with my new info(to me). Thanks guys!
Thanks for a behind the scenes glimpse into listing on Ebay. Very impressive and informative. And it was nice to hear Andrew say that if the $25 was going to make a difference, let's just unwind the sale.
Fun video....I like to see how others do things and we find out we are not all the different :)
I do however like listing from my chromebook, I always list with a "holding" picture, then do as the Crazy Lady does, schedule the listing for later, and then go back and "revise" listing and add all the actual true pictures. Using the ebay phone app is the best way to get edited pix into the listing. And multiple pix and a accurate description is sooooo important as they say.
Thanks for sharing!!!
I stopped and gobbled at some turkeys once. About 20 of them attacked my van. It was a long van. They were on top of it. In front and would not let me drive. At the back and side doos pecking at it. Finally I just had to drive slow to get through. Bird poop all over my van. I forgot this time of year in mating season. That’s why the turkey you saw had his feathers displayed for the female. It’s mating season for all the birds you saw. But it was fun listening to you gobble. But of course would rather here you get excited over a great thrift find. Soon!!!
Yes please do a pricing video! Thank you!
Thx soooo much for all this info. I really have been looking for this exact video. 💕💕💕
I really like how simple you make it. I think I was making it too complicated. I live that you have multiple light boxes, then you can list in more places. Thank you for sharing your life with us Jocelyn.
I enjoyed this video its so helpful. Many of us that follow & just enjoy your happiness need role models. For myself personally I got sick 3-4 yrs ago and was unable to be the manager of my own business. Unfortunately, that left me with a 60 x 80 and 60 x 40 metal buildings stocked...oh gosh I will never see daylight at this pace, my former employees sought other employment considering they never knew when I would return.I feel stuck but I was never a quitter.
I'm a droid user too! Working up to an iPad though!
Andrew, you did make the video fun. Your shipping department is well set up. Many years ago my dad ran the shipping department for a large company.
HAHA!...I love the honking, gobble-ing, and quacking at the end!
Did my first listing with grandson’s help. Did to get help with shipping.
Joc, if you take a piece of MDF and cover it in vinyl with velcro at the bottom to hold it on, you can replace the vinyl as it gets scratched and still have a uniform surface to shoot in.
I love all of your videos, but I especially this one. I learned a lot and it answered some of the things I had wondered about. You all have beautiful things and were my first and now the only seller that I buy from. You all are too cute!!
Now I will sell on eBay in near future...have online account. My son usually sell items I give him ( sometimes cool gifts he out grew) and I never get upset because he kept it long enough to be able to sell later. .Take care...he is a 1988 kid.
The how to, on listening on Ebay was helpful, not as nervous and scary as I that it would be! I can do this! I can do this! I am the little train that could!! 💞🧜♀️💞
Awesome video! Thanks for the great info and laughs. Nicely done on the cart-wheel!!
I haven’t done a cartwheel in maybe twenty years... I kind of surprised myself. I think I pulled a hamstring, though.
Crazy Lamp Lady I totally understand that, not too sure I could actually pull one off anymore plus pulled hammy’s hurt!
Hi joce thanks for the great ebay lesson and for still stopping by to see Sue I know she appreciates you very much ! The thought makes me feel better. Can't wait till Drew can get his sausage again,Ineed a laugh bad! Love the fitz and floyd, wish I was not so broke. Thanks for being a good teacher!! 😇😀😇
This behind-the-scenes listing video was super fun! thank you! Loved how you shared the steps.
Everyone does shipping different but I like to save buyer money on shipping whenever possible. This could easily fit into a 6x6x6 first class shipping with 13-15oz with packing material. I use bubble wrap and Peanut foam!!! They are extremely light weight.
If a buyer requests cheaper shipping, we accommodate. But we always prefer to ship items using priority. I think this is just a matter of preference.
This video was really great with the step by step instructions. I have a few more questions so looking forward to the next video. Both of you are super stars.
I phone is the best phone. My husband is an engineer and when I phone came out he was delighted.
Hi Joce and Andrew! I loved your black lightbox ! It’s not listed in your “supplies”. Could you post a link? Would appreciate it so much!! Love y’all! You’ve inspired me so much !
I thought ceramics and pottery were different?
I’m with Andrew, I much order my android phone to an I phone!
I think I am Camp Drew, android over iphone, wordy over not. Nice video, instructional, appreciate it.
Thanks this takes the wonder out of how it is done...not as scary to see it, and looks doable.
😂 I love my android! Samsung galaxy note 4! It's a dinosaur and still works.
jessica zane Ikr? I have a galaxy 7 & still love it.
I'm with Drew...I ditched the Apple device & went back to Android. Life is so much better now :)
Boy, there is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes that I never new about. Bet you're glad to have Walter doing your shipping. Thanks for the info.
Great vid! Thank you both! Technical question: How do you film what your phone was doing, so that you could put it on screen so we could see it? That’s genius!!! Please share that trick!
I was screen recording. ☺️
Wow! I was wondering how to go about . Listing on Ebay. To me , it looks alot todo 😔, I'd have to get a scale a light box. But it looks like fun,! N it was helpful! Thank you!!!
You guys are Awesome!!!❤
One of my favorites so far! This is super helpful! Excited for pricing video! Thank you!
BEAUTIFUL scenery at the end! NY makes one yearn for such sights!! Continued success and health!!
A lot of times what I do if I am unsure what the shipping weight will end up being I know it adds some time to setting up the listing before it goes live, I go ahead and pack the item 100% ready to ship then weigh it or I at least place it in the box that I'm going to use and then set it on the scale. Now of course if it's going to be in a flat rate box it's no big deal.
Thank you so much I love your videos guys I've learned a lot stay safe
Thanks for all the fun and knowledge. You two have great chemistry. Looking forward to what you come up with next. Aloha!
One thing I really like about your auctions is you post photos in larger size. I've looked at other Ebay auctions and the photos are microscopic. Even if you click on the photos you still need a magnifying glass and a microscope to see what they are selling. Lol
So thank you for making the photos larger, and starting your auctions at $4.00
Really like posts w/both of you contributing~ like most couples, you compliment each others' contributions. when it's good, it can work SO well=) Each of us tend to highlight different details when teaching. Good job guys!
Having 'square mode'~ definite vote for android:)
Thank you for making videos, we love watching them .. such good content very positive and friendly energy
You guys should do a shop tour!!!
