  • Another visit to Fleming Park where the Hurricane Helene debris has been collected and stored. The last visit to Fleming Park the park was almost cleared out and now it is almost full again as the debris trucks are continuing to deposite debris. One thing I don't see are chippers chipping the collected debris like on our last visit. I miss seeing ' Big Blue' sending chips flying. They may not be chipping here until the park gets filled up again. And imagine the demand for chippers. Maybe they can only rent them for a month before they have to give them back.

Is it primarily pine and cedar, or is there a decent amount of oak?? It would be a shame to chip oak logs if the chips aren't used for heat. What are ur thoughts on the chips?? How does the landfill handle them so massive fires don't start?? I saw a chip fire burn for days and days years ago down in NC. Very dangerous. The videos are on RUclips. It took a guy with an excavator flipping it and isolating the burning section of the landfill chips to get the fire out.
