Have they never heard of confidentiality in the workplace? Maybe Google did not want this sensitive information to get out. If you feel uncomfortable about something in your workplace and it does not align with your values, change jobs and leave. It is not up to you to decide how the company does business. I will never hire an employee who shouts everything we do on the street. Imagine them working in a research company, pharmaceutical company, etc. You cannot trust people like that, especially in technical jobs.
