    Very nice explanation … I have 3 acres of land in Ajmer. Rajasthan and I am interested to grow crops from either hydroponics or aquaponics.
    Climate conditions.
    Winter : 5°C to 15°C
    Summer 25°C to 50°C
    Please do suggest what is better for me ?

      @citygreens2235  6 месяцев назад +1

      Managing production in summer will be tough. Go for low cost net house kind of setup. In winters grow a high value crop. In summers you can grow chillies or cucumbers or brinjal as one short cycle crop. In monsoon don’t grow anything.

    Half acre valley at kodaikanal. Cool breezy weather. First time investor. How much should i set my budget? What should be my first crop? I believe there is a learning curve.

    • @citygreens2235
      @citygreens2235  Год назад +1

      Start from the crop/market first. What is it that you will grow and can sell easily.
      Setup for leafy - budget may go to 100 L. For vegetable crops - around 60 oddL. If you can increase the size to around 3/4 acre - you can get subsidy from Govt as well.

    If I want to do such a setup at a smaller scale, let's say for R&D, what are the main pain points to be aware of upfront. Like if i want to do it in UP, there will be issue with electricity, in certain parts of the state, extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain and flood like conditions to extreme heat in different seasons. And how i can come to terms with these and other risk factors if any. Thanks a lot for the informative content.

    • @citygreens2235
      @citygreens2235  Год назад +3

      For every issue you should decide on the best alternative amongst all possible. For example, to avoid issues due to electricity fluctuations, you should choose DWC over NFT. For water logging - raise the platform or do the setup at a higher ground or create gutter channels around the polyhouse. For heat - use from multiple options that are used for temperature control and choose temperature hardy crops instead of exotic temperate climate ones.

    Hello sir. Great video. I am from Rajasthan. I have 20 acre of land. But temperature in summer is high and winter is average. Rainfall minimal. For starter if I start on 1 acre, how much will it cost me, what kind of farm should I start? I am interested in growing cherry tomota, button mushroom, cucumber or flowers. Is that possible? Please reply.

    • @citygreens2235
      @citygreens2235  Месяц назад

      Parth growing is possible but it will finally boil down to how much you are willing to invest to control the climate. If you spend too much it may not be profitable also.
      Cucumber is easy to grow in warm climates. If you don’t experience a long rainy season - I will suggest net house. It will not grow in rains but in other seasons it will grow with low investment. You can fill the contact form on our website to connect with our advisor team. Www.citygreens.ai

      It will depend upon the kind of structure you want to create and crops you would like to grow. It may range anywhere from 20 L to 60 L depending upon those choices.

    Can we grow potato in hot summer season by using hydroponic/aro phonics system

    • @citygreens2235
      @citygreens2235  4 месяца назад

      Aeroponics is used to grow seeds of potato. For full size potatoes - hydroponics can be used.
      But it will be more cost effective to grow them in soil during season and then preserve them in cold storage - than growing in summer in hydroponics. If you have a profitable business case - I’m yes we can grow them off-season using our technology.

    • @citygreens2235
      @citygreens2235  3 месяца назад

      Yes, but it will cost more than if you start with a climate-controlled polyhouse. The entire top structure will change and all cladding (plastic) will need to be redone.
      So if starting fresh, start with climate ccontrolled if that is your long term plan.

    what is aeroponics?do you deal with it?

    • @citygreens2235
      @citygreens2235  Год назад

      In aeroponics instead of water (like in hydroponics) the roots are suspended in air itself.
      The nutrient is given through a fine mist which increases absorption from roots and allows for higher availability of oxygen. This leads to faster growing time.
      Yes. We do deal in aeroponic.
