This is gold, man! Thanks so much. I am currently setting up a campaign for a client, and we tested and discovered we were going to have close to zero response rate. Outlook servers completed blocked our emails and then I did some research and found some of the issues. This video touched on some but learnt some few additional tricks to test. Here are additional things I discovered that helped though (for the outlook issue): 1. Maintain 60:40 text to HTML ratio 2. Avoid CAPS, BOLD, and Exclamation marks 3. Don't enable open tracking What do you think Jay? P.S. I use Instantly for sending out the emails.
I'm just going to start cold calling lol. This sh*t is changing on a weekly basis as far as what to do and what NOT to do. As soon as I have a system set up, I have to change it. It's exhausting haha
For anyone watching... after I stopped watching and copying what this guy's videos; my open rates got up to 96% and positive reply rates are sitting at a nice 18 - 24%. Idk if it was a coincidience or not. This stuff in this video is good, hes a good source for cold email news. All that matters is that you don't send to giant lists. Split your campaigns and personalize the email, never send to a list of over 500 contacts, if your list is bigger, split it and niche the personalization.
You cannot do the multiple domain thing that would destroy your SEO for that site...why not have a redirect page like will redirect in 3 seconds would that not be better than a 302 etc?
Because that's also not ideal as it can look spammy to your prospects. The new best practice here is to sign up for a platform like EmailGuard which can proxy between sending domains and primary domain so you can't be flagged by Google for doing cold email. You can also use CloudFlare here as they have a similar feature, and they're free, but much more annoying setup process than EmailGuard.
@@leadgenjay Well with bolt.new I made like 10 decent looking landing pages non canonical so as to not hurt my SEO on my main domain pretty much for free and deployed them within seconds...is this decent too?
Hey brother, that’s actually a solid workaround-having multiple non-canonical landing pages can definitely work if your primary concern is SEO. It keeps your main domain clean while still letting you use those landing pages for specific outreach campaigns. That said, the key here isn’t just SEO; it’s also about how email providers perceive your sending behavior. Even with non-canonical pages, if your sending IP points directly to your primary domain (or a close derivative), you could still run into issues with domain reputation and deliverability. Using a proxy solution like EmailGuard or CloudFlare adds that extra layer of protection to make sure your primary domain isn’t flagged or blacklisted in the future. It’s a bit more technical but worth it for long-term scalability. Hope that gives you some clarity! What’s your experience been like with those landing pages so far? 🚀
3:27 wait a minute... I've never heard of this trick "domain forwarding". Why would it be a bad idea to send emails from my primary domain? I've been doing this since starting my affiliate marketing journey. I'm not a big company with hundreds of employees. Does this apply to me? Thanks Jay!
If you use your business domain for cold emails, it could get banned and you might not be able to do business with it anymore since your messages will be sent to spam.
For the domain forwarding, if we clone our main site 100 times for example (even just the homepage), won't we be in danger of duplicate content penalty by G once all these website are indexed? Definitely don't want to mess with SEO that has been been done on the website. Any thoughts?
To protect the SEO you've built, make sure you're using canonical tags, noindex tags, or unique content on the cloned versions of your site. That way, you can still benefit from having multiple domains without risking a penalty from Google. If you have more questions, join my community and ask for help! link.lgjay.com/insiders-ytc
Hey Jay, thanks for the great content, one question so if I use similar unsubscribe sentence for each email, will it trigger google to detect my mails as a spam? Or should I use different lines on each one?
thank you, great info, as always! quick mention, mailmeteor flagged the word "get". Really? I can't use "get"? That just seems really, really cumbersome.
That is frustrating! I would just look up some words that also mean "get" and see how those do. I had chatgpt pull some for you, try these - receive, access, gain, obtain, snag, grab, etc.
Hey, great question! Honestly, 6 domains auto-forwarding to your main site is usually fine, especially if each one has a real purpose. The thing to watch out for is making sure you’re not just duplicating content across all of them, because Google might see that as spammy. If you’re thinking of adding more, I’d say keep it under 10-12 domains max, unless you’ve got a solid reason for each one. Just make sure you’re using canonical tags and keeping an eye on your SEO performance. As long as you’re strategic about it, you should be good to go! Let me know if you want to dive deeper into this!
Hey! You're right that cloning websites with Go High-Level (GHL) could cost around $100/month depending on the plan you’re using. For example, the $97/month GHL plan allows for 1 account, and if you want to manage more sites or clients, you'd need to upgrade or use subaccounts, which could increase the cost. I'm offering my Insiders 3 months free on GHL and a much less monthly rate after that. Check it out link.lgjay.com/insiders-ytc

it is generally safe to have around 2-3 domains
