i absolutely love the Clinique lip gloss, it's so nourishing and long-lasting. feels kind of like a thick lip balm but looks like a gloss.

How do you get it to be long lasting? I put it on, it slips and slides around over my lip line, and literally 5 minutes later it's almost completely gone 😢

I love Black honey so much. You’re so right about how it looks different on everyone. On me it has a kind of just bitten berry look. Just slightly richer than my natural lip. On my best friend it’s kind of surprisingly pink. It really is a chameleon.

I've only had sample versions of the Black Honey lipstick and I really adore the versatility and subtleness of the color. I had no idea they came out with a gloss version, but I'm weirdly a fan of thick glosses so I'll be checking that out haha

Black Honey really is such a great product. I've been using it since I'd borrow it from my mom as a young teen, LOL! Clinique was her go-to brand and sometimes I'd get lucky with my own sample of Black Honey. I love how you can just get a slight tint, or you can build up the color. The best thing about it is it looks gorgeous on all skin tones! It's a beautiful natural lip shade on darker complexions when sheer, or it can be built up for a very flattering shade. The new formula looks amazing; I love the way it builds.
I have a few Nyx Butter lip glosses and my favorite is Tiramisu, a nude pinkish brown. It's the perfect natural lip color for my complexion. The texture is amazing because it's moisturizing and not sticky, it's affordable, and there are a bunch of different shades.

Love the OG Black Honey but I’m not a fan of the gloss! It’s super thick and sticky! For reference my fave lip gloss formulas are Tower28 lip glosses and the Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil-Infused lip glosses! Great video as always Matilda! ✨❤️

Yes! I love the tower 28 lip jellies but i do think they taste a little weird, kind of like a mix between buttered popcorn and coconut, but the shades and shine are worth it :)

The original skinny silver tube was the first lipstick anyone ever put on me for stage makeup when I was acting (I just wore brown Neutrogena gloss until then, haha)! Quick q on your Dior Lip Glow Oil: have you ever noticed a leaky component on yours? (Have I ever asked you this? UGH.) NYX butter gloss in spiked toffee might be a closer match- I have it and it seems more berry than gingersnap! It might be worth looking into? From what I can tell, it’s like the milk tea version of black honey (though I’ve only ever swatched the original)

I've been wearing Clinique's since the 70's & still have an original empty pot. I bought their limited edition Black Honey eyeliner a few years ago. Was my favorite color ever (blue eyes), sorry I didn't buy backup. Wish they would bring it back.

Does the dior lip oil and lip maximizer scent fade?
The NYX Butter Gloss in Ginger Snap has been one of my go to shades for years! I've gone through several tubes of it, however, I've noticed within the past year or so every one that I have purchased, after applying feels like there is a gritty texture in it? I've purchased several Ginger Snap Glosses from different stores and have even made sure to get ones with different batch numbers, but each one feels like there's tiny grit in the formula after applying and rolling my lips together. Not sure if the formula has changed or if anyone else has felt/noticed the same thing?

Have you tried the new reformulated versions of EM cosmetics serum blush? The new dropper and packaging is much better, the blush is more pigmented and they added 2 new gorgeous shades, Autumn Sky and Forbidden Fruit.

An alternative for the black honey and the fenty lip gloss (they both looked great but dried out my lips!) is the sheglam glaze daze gloss in grape juice/mocha cake! The first has a nice reddish brown color and mocha has a caramel brown color and, even though the colors fades sooner than I’d like, it keeps my lips hydrated for literally hours!

Hi Elisa! Sadly not off the top of my head, that chocolatey orange tone is quite interesting. You could maybe look for a deep brick red or darker red orange lipstick to achieve a similar effect if you sheer it out? ❤️🧡 x

Sadly they're not available here! 💔 So it's usually a forwarding service or friends-bringing-products-back-in-their-suitcase situation. Some brands very kindly mail launches to me as most of my audience is outside Australia and can access their products, lucky things! x

Yo its funny i had this as a deluxe sample in a swag bag for buying Clinque Happy perfume as i was a Clinque whore in the early 2000s. the macy's clinque girls knew me lol that happy perfume was my signature scent but anyways I remember this black honey slcik stick and i loved it because it looked dark but went on sheer but with some color but i never would have thought it would be so popular today. As it was not such a big deal back then just a nice shade of deep berry. Funny what social media has done to simple products. something to ponder on........

i own the lipglos because in my opinion that one burtsbees lipbalm is a good enough dupe for the almost lipstick and SO MUCH CHEAPER. but the gloss has a coulour that no drugstore (that i went to) had a dupe for... also i can regulate the colour better and just se3ms way more worth it for the price

the Clinique lipgloss is like if you bit your lips until they bled, that color oxidized a bit with the air and then you applied lipgloss on top.
I didn't even know there was a gloss version of Black Honey until you mentioned it in one of your videos a couple months ago... went to buy it and I have to say I'm not the biggest fan 😅it's a bit too sticky and I definitely prefer the balm finish over a gloss one!

Yes! Chic Honey was my favourite. It's much more pink & cool than Black Honey, which looks very brown on me.
