3 cups (420 g) All-purpose flour
2 tsp (10 mL) Instant dry yeast
3 cups (750 g) plain yoghurt (any type)
2 cups (400 g) White granulated sugar
2 cups (474 mL) Water
1 tsp (5 mL) Lemon juice
1 Tbsp (15 mL) Cardamom (ground)
3 كوب طحين
2 ملعقة صغيرة خميرة فورية
1 علبة 750جم زبادي
2 كوب سكر
2 كوب ماء
1 ملعقة كبيرة هيل او فنيلا
3 tazas (420 gramos) de harina para todo uso
750 gramos de yogur natural
2 tazas (400 gramos) de azúcar blanco granulado
2 tazas (474 ml) de agua
1 cucharadita (5 ml) de jugo de limón
1 cucharada (15 ml) de cardamomo molido
2 cucharaditas (10 ml) de levadura seca instantánea Хобби

I Love this! In my household, my mom uses caano garuur (Buttermilk) to mix it! It is one of those sweets you never get tired of eating mashallah.
The following is for half the recipe. 11/2 cup all-purpose flour - 1 tsp instant dry yeast - 375g yoghurt. For the syrup 1 cup sugar - 1 cup water - 1/2 tsp lemon juice - 1 tsp ground cardamom.

You need to let the batter ferment for one hour on the counter before you refrigerate. Next day before you fry them bring the batter to room temperature. If you want to make them the same day, you have to mix the batter 6 hours before so it will ferment properly. The slow fermentation in the refrigerator enhances the flavour. The inside is not supposed to be hollow but the dumplings should be light and very absorbent.
Bring them to room temperature before frying and fry them until brown. That ensures that they will absorb the syrup. Try it and let us know. Thank you for the question.

Thank you for your comment. Did you add the lemon juice to the syrup? It helps prevent crystallization. Having the right ratio of water to sugar is very important. last but not least, make sure you boil the sugar for 15 minutes.
