Rory, leaving the conversation you had with Ash Sarkar out so you can give a brief overview whilst talking over her does not sound like a two-sided debate.
Giving Farage a platform on BBC radio, the same guy who said
1 - “I was asked if a group of Romanian men moved in next to you, would you be concerned? And if you lived in London, I think you would be,” he told LBC radio during an interview.
Asked whether he would also object to living next to German children, he said: “You know the difference.”
2 - when asked about his punctuality - “That has nothing to do with professionalism, what it does have to do with is a country in which the population is going through the roof chiefly because of open-door immigration and the fact that the M4 is not as navigable as it used to be.”
3 - called for people with HIV to be banned from Britain - “People who do not have HIV, to be frank. That’s a good start. And people with a skill.”
4 - Used a nazi style immigration poster in a UKIP election depicting lines of muslim immigrants.
    The list goes on Rory.
The only thing this episode highlighted was your innate bias against any sensible discourse outside of your own Tory/Right Wing viewpoint and your total absence of critical thought/introspection.
In the latter parts, you just sounded like a privately educated schoolboy waffling on about epistemological arguments and essentially failing at talking sensibly about the real-world survival issues the majority of us are facing.
A good idea, but the show was very poorly executed due to your obvious biases coming from such a privileged background.
P.S. don't buy your friendly Tory guy image mate, you literally worked in the same government that used Austerity to cripple the NHS and public services to the point where we have been through a pandemic with the highest level of deaths in Europe. I hope you feel some responsibility for those deaths because you were working in the government that enabled that to happen through massive cuts instead of taxing your corporate mates.
Do you feel proud of being part of the government that cut all those hospital beds and the nurse's bursary just before a pandemic??
Then again I'm guessing you are from a wealthy background being a Tory MP for somewhere in Cumbria. You and your family probably don't have to use said health services (super duper Bupa!!) or know many people working on the frontline of the NHS who have been totally kicked under the bus by the very party you owe allegiance to during the pandemic.
Essentially what I am trying to say Rory is the epistemological waffle arguments you were debating in the series simply don't really earn priority in our current world with the very serious and urgent looming existential catastrophes neoliberal capitalism is failing to address. Whether that be the Climate Crisis/Cost of Living/NHS crisis/Ocean plasticity/Biodiversity crisis etc.
Then again I guess you're most likely protected somewhat from these being from your privileged position being a Tory Oldboy. In a similar vein to all the billionaires currently buying up fortified property in New Zealand as insurance against the oncoming catastrophe, planet Earth is about to endure.
I wonder if you're even aware of these kinds of things seeing them through the tunnel-visioned reality you will live in.
I'm sure intellectually masturbating over epistemology is a nice way to flex your privately educated mind down the conservatives club. However, for most people who rely on the health services YOUR government (ala Cameron) has decimated or facing the prospect of spending over half their wage to heat their home and the other half on rent, such intellectual masturbation is not top of their priorities.
