Btw I had the same tune pipe in brushed finish on most of my nitro touring cars. Those were affordable and sounded awesome. Thanks for sharing this and I hope HPI listens to you about making 1/10 touring cars great again. You are the nitro king!

Thanks to your older videos about the super nitro I realize the valve of what I have been having stored away for so long I just completely went though my super nitro RS4 with a Novarossi .21 and made sure it was perfect, today is it’s first test drive in long long time and my fist time really driving the car IT BLEW ME AWAY TO SAY THE LEAST !! SO MUCH POWER ! I haven’t even went wide open throttle yet, there is soo much power!! Do you run differential fluid in your super nitro’s differentials? I realize in the original owners manual it only says to grease the gears themself … what do you do ?
I totally agree!! The Super Nitro Scale body is terrific, I would say even nicer than the basic 1/10 scales. Also the larger wheels make it looks far more aggressive than the typical 1/10 nitro chassis.

The rs4 3 was my first hobby grade rc and I ran the shot out of it my boy got the rs4 18ss so I had to get the 18ss so stupid I couldn have gotten a os 18 but still had fun
A guy gave me a rs4 super nitro, a jato 3.3 and 3 planes. They had been sitting for years. I’m new to nitro but good with motors. They both run great but my rs4 looks like hybrid of those 2 in your video. I have the handle like the super, the chassis of the other and it’s 2 speed. It has the hpi motor on it but I have 15fe in a pit box that he also gave me. Possible he changed it? Has a dynamite muffle down the side now but I have the rear muffler on that 15fe too. I’m guessing he upgraded? Just wondering your thoughts brother. Great vids btw. I’m now hooked on nitro rc. I like having a real motor that you can tune, the smoke and the head turning sound
whats up dude! How you doing! Yes, I agree, those original rear exhaust CAN MUFFLERs are pretty quiet and don't have that high pitch exhaust tone that tuned pipes have. To be honest with you the most restrictive element on this car was the air filter. That is the filter from the Nitro Bullet, it's got a tiny little hole for the intake.

hey buddy! how you doing! Sounds like the one you're referring to is the HPI RS4-3 model. Sometimes called the RTR 3 or the Nitro 3. It's the never version which was known for the shaft drive system.
I still have mine. And it was a headache. Plastic 52 spur gear that would always strip...dog bones always popping out 15fe motor was slow as snails...n that exhaust u have is not original. It came with a plastic side exhsust. 15fe only goes 30mph....but i had a great exp. As a kid. experience
yo! Jezzee! The red body Super Nitro RS4 is a single speed, it's basically fully stock. The nitro RS4-2 does have a 2-speed. You can;t kill either of them, with proper running and maintenance ofcourse.

Convenient yes loss of power and other issues yes also. Hpi is dead sad. The rep told me last year this is the end of HPI covid or not they were done prior to it. Sucks rs4 2 was my first rc

I recently got a brand new Savage 4.6, with a redesigned body and some upgrades, also some of their other nitro models are bing made, like the bullet and the trophy truggy! In fact HPI even knows who I am, and has been watching my vids, so maybe they will listen to us when we ask for the Nitro Segment to come back.
hey bro! I will say that it tends to run fairly consistently throughout the fuel tank, also keep in mind I was running the extremely thin Original HPI fuel lines and a very restrictive air filter and muffler.
LOL, good question? HPI never made a reference to the SCALE size at the time. They only talked about the fact that it's 20% larger than the normal 1/10 RS4 at the time. In my opinion it's the IDEAL chassis size for on-road and can handle some of the harshness of bad roads more than the low sitting 1/10 scales.
you can NEVER KILL a nitro with proper care an maintenance my dude. Actually the best way to kill it is to not run it and let the motor get seized up, so running some fuel through them once every 3 months is highly recommended. Thanks for watching my dude.
