What a terrible translation. In 20:43 Murat says I'll leave no stone unturned, no head on shoulder. In other words, not a single stone will be on another in this place, everything will be leveled, flattened. And no head will be on the shoulder because he will cut off all heads. There will be no stone upon stone, no head upon shoulder. Such a powerful poetic line. To translate this with a simple translation like "I will destroy this place, I will kill everyone" was inadequate surely.
By this point in time, the British and Spanish Empires were too powerful for the Ottomans to ever be able to conquer. Murad knew that which is why he turned his attention to the east instead of the west. He knew that Europe was becoming too powerful
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl Yeah, you have almost no knowledge about Ottoman history. The reason why Murat focused on east was the loss of Baghdad, an important city of Ottomans taken by Safavids in a few years ago of Murad's reign. He didn't have lifetime for another campaing after Baghdad. Also, Ottomans were more a land empire than naval. They were not able to attack long distance territories with great army. Most importantly, the technology of 17. century would not allow any armies to easily occupy long distance lands.
"how dare he" i dont know, maybe he is the sultan, and therefore he is the most important person in the room? a sultana will allways be inferior to a sultan.
