Attachment coach here! I love the study of limerence. If it’s not reciprocated love than it is most likely limerence. Block, delete on all social media, delete photos, quit your job and run as fast as you can. Only accept mutual love and admiration and find a hobby and church.
I'm a 62 year old widow and learned to live in fantasy from a young age when the TV was my babysitter. I crushed on a lot of actors, but I also realized I had a deep desire to be seen. The past two years I have been on a journey learning to have a deep, intimate relationship with Jesus. Ironically, at first, I couldn't recognize real love from God, and kept trying to get all my needs met by a man I was seeing from church. So my advice is... ask God to help you unlearn old behaviors and relearn what love is from 1 Corinthians13, learn to get your needs met by God, learn to believe God is the God who sees and learn to discern what is real and what is fake. Pray. Pray. Pray. Read Scripture. Surrender all! (Sounds like a lot, but the Holy Spirit will help if you ask!) And listen to Mark's videos. They have helped tremendously. Bless you, Mark! One of the best tips I learned from Mark is that when im depressed to have mercy on myself "its okay to not be okay", and see God as a loving Father who I can go to when im depressed for nurture, instead of run from out of shame and self-hatred.

It's hard to let that person go as they became part of your identity. You have to untangle them from you first to get to know who you are without that person. Then you can heal.....all with God's guidance, of course.

I have developed a sad case of limerence over a man, and given into a false guilt or something because my focus is not on God when I'm thinking about him. We both have feelings for each other but won't act on it in order to keep from giving into premarital sex. Thank you for this teaching today. Limerence was exposed in my life earlier this year. Please pray my strength in the Lord.

I like to think of myself as this mature self reflective emotionally intelligent peroson. Not someone who needs emotional development. 😅 But I obviously need to emotionally develop. I did project many unmet childhood needs on my limerant object. Just like the person in the letter I wanted him to affirm me. I wanted to hear that he is proud of me and I wanted that he would sort of adopt me on teacher student level. I wanted to be his favorite student that he feel very attached to. I wanted to be loved, supported, motivated and cheered on as his most beloved most talented student. I very rarely got validated and cherished as a kid. In that area Im a bit stunted. I have severe lack of trust in my competense and my abilities. I never heard from my parents that they proud of me. Other people will never be able to fill that void for me. Its all about your childhood pain and unmet childhood needs. Im a very feminine, nurturing women. I noticed that some man who have a big mother wound are strongly attracted to me because of my nurturing quality. Those who had a cold neglectful mother project their hope to finally get the nurture that they never had.
I appreciate this video. I had several events happen to me since May and ended up having a crush with a married man. I have worked with him for several years and never felt this way. I was fasting yesterday and found your channel. This is exactly what I am feeling. This is what I am going through. My God this is insane and I can’t believe this is where I am in my life now. I think this condition is very prevalent among elderly people especially, singles and particularly those who have never married (not a laughing matter). The "church" culture has contributed to the problem by ignoring singles especially older singles or society thinks that "love" problems are for the younger people. My thoughts and prayers go out to the older brother and sisters, don't entertain an alternate reality. Philippians 4:4-8 Jesus is with you, always.... you need someone cry out to, cry out to him for what ever is on your mind....🙏🌿🕊️
Dealing with this, wasn't nutured growing up and my limerance object was kind, nuturing and funny. You came for me when you made fun of us for "focusing on God" 😂😂 I pray I marry someone that makes me laugh the way your wife laughed at the end. Made my whole day!

Hey I have a question I have been struggling with a ruminating thought that I am ashamed of the gospel and I tried to act on it by sharing it but that let to compulsion and I have not been at peace and I’m only 15
Try to ignore ur intrusive thoughts...n go on with ur day...move as u see and do things as they r needed to be done....don't make sense with it.... because it's all an illusion of thoughts or mind manipulation....you disagree thts why u r uncomfortable....and seek help!

(min 17) I cracked up because once I received spiritual guidance... ok ok focus fooooooooooooooocus focus hoorah yes focus (like I was getting ready for a heavy bench press or something) lol. What does that even mean? Do this or pray more, fast more, bible more, worship this way or stand on your head and drink pickle juice like we are curing hiccups lol. I love the one where one would say things in percentages, the reason you don't see a blessin' is your not a 100% in? Soooo 97.3% is not enough? Well how do I know I am 100%? Only then the blessing will come?
