Okay what can I say. After I discovered Septicflesh 5 months ago and this band Fleshgod Apocalypse was still on my to check out list. So I thank you for this one sweet friend! Great symphonic death metal which I love totally!
"I'm expecting something a little bit heavy" Yeah.. Just a little. But on a serious note, the lyrics and the message behind the song is actually quite heart wrenching.
One of my fav bands...... you might wanna add a bunch of their songs to your playlist ;-) The only thing I am a bit sad about is that Veronica is not featured more than she is atm.... hopefully that will change for the next album
The keyboardist from this band is the guy in charge of the orchestrations in the last album from Shadow of Intent's Elegy . That album is a total masterpiece from beginning to end. I definitely recommend you to listen to it or make a complete live stream of Elegy. Cheers mate!
since you're able to look past the vocals and apprechiate the instrumentals I feel you gotta check out Minotaur (lyrics video) and Pathfinder (music video) from their Labyrinth album...imo that album has the most insanely intense songwriting for every instrument they've done so far. Minotaur is easier to dissect and more on the rythmic side while Pathfinder is more fast paced melodic with the most epic chorus and interlude sections...both songs are peak guitar and drum porn and "epic" would be the most fitting word to describe it all

Great band. Their song The Violation is brutal from start to finish. The drums are insane. Not everyone's taste, but I absolutely love it.
