Bill is definitely in the top part of my comedians list of greats. One thing I really like about him as a whole not just his comedy is that he is authentic. He is always speaking honestly. No matter what he seems to never pander to anybody ever. Being himself and telling hia story with maybe a little added drama is gold .
When he is yelling at the Ikea, particle board bookcase - that argument with his wife is way too real to not be true. The last, "I thought you were going to your mother's!" is just too well done to not be a real conversation that took place. 🤣

His dad reminds me of my own dad, always swearing and yelling and it's crazy how as we get older, we start acting/saying the same things. Dave and Bill are great but Billy Connoly.is the GOAT, IMHO. His ability to take his world travels and bring comedic gems? Priceless. I don't know how you feel about this but I think that arts such as comedy and acting should have a certain leeway. They are artists. Their profession is literally to portray something that they are not. That literally is what acting is all about. If an old white dude can portray a 16 year old Indian girl, sign me up for giving him Oscar nominations. Similarly if an 16 year old Indian woman can portray an older white male, sign her up for the Oscars too. Isn't that the magic of acting? If not, why the f^^k do they do it? Why should anyone be actors? The ability to pull that off would be immense and that's why we watch movies and theatre. We almost seek the impossible when it comes to entertainment,. Unless they start to bring hatred from a role they have played, they should be given the right to act as an artist. If they cross the line of hate when cast them off to the weeds but on the flip side we need a reasonable point of reference where that cast off point is. We need balance. Support true artists, demote the haters.

The more you listen to bill burr’s podcast. The more you realize he’s working out new material for his comedy specials. Occasionally the lovely Nia will make an appearance, and if you’re really lucky you’ll Bill’s kids chime in. Heck dig into some of Joe Rogan’s podcast when Bill is on there….comedic genius will be flowing between Joe and Bill. Hell start watching the Kill Tony podcast on RUclips…that’s almost always hysterical. Sorry I seem to have gone off the rails a bit.
This is why I love Polo and other pretty stoic dudes reacting to comedians like Burr. When they give a real hearty laugh you know it's a real banger of a joke
