Neuroplasticity is a powerful concept. Came across it some few years back and has really been helpful as it made me realize with the right determination and effort, we could learn anything we want.

That is super cool! Were there any particular resources you used to learn more about it? Cause imma go for a deep dive 😁

@@ainoluo It was more of a mental wellness program that a group of Harvard Psychology students were running at school that I was fortunate to be be part of. So the resources that we used throughout the program were crafted to suit us as young teens at the time.

Privileged live that most of people in Kenya cannot afford... They are struggling every day, working hard all day long, earning money for basic things like food. Those kind of videos made by white people in Kenya are somehow disturbing for me (and I'm also white and living in Nairobi as well).

I hear you. I am documenting my journey towards a healthy life and getting feedback that it inspires people across income brackets. I also think Nairobi deserves to be seen as a city where this type of lifestyle is possible (and people don’t for example live in clay huts, not that there’s anything wrong with that either). That’s aspirational content, which most lifestyle content on RUclips is, even in Northern America or Europe.
There are certainly a couple of things in this video that cost money, such as the massage and therapy (and trust me, I need to budget carefully for these things and sacrifice in other areas) but most books I read can be found for free online and I do book giveaways for Kenyan viewers, my language learning app is free, RUclips is full of self massage videos, some of the foods are very accessibly priced, most of my hobbies have a lower price for Kenyan citizens, the field where I take my walks is free, meditation is free, I know dudes who lift free makeshift weights. I am aware that for many, buying bundles or taking a matatu can be a stretch, but these are some examples of things I do that really don’t require someone to be privileged.
There are always ways to apply healthy habits to your own situation. Money helps, I know that because it’s taken me time (about 10 years of corporate life) to get to a position where I have any to spend. Not sure how familiar you are with my channel but my own partner is a Kenyan who hustles every day to make a living.
In addition, the money I spend goes towards local small businesses. If these types of videos still disturb you, it’s best you look for another channel - that’s what I do if something starts to boil my blood too much.

@@ainoluo I see your point. Maybe it is just my problem - Nairobi is the place that disturbing me - mainly because of those social and economic differences which I still cannot accept, corruption and lack of thinking of regular citizens well-being. Maybe people don't live in clay huts there, but the condition of living for regular people are pretty poor ( we can see it know, when the flood season hit so much).
I didn't want to offend you in any way, because obviously it's not your fault. itI is just the thought that came accross my mind. Glad that you find your place in Nairobi and all the best for you!

@@megiczarnobiala No worries, I didn’t find your comment offensive - I might sometimes seem like I do cause I end up replying with an essay 😂
I totally get you, and it disturbs me so much too - and it’s so much easier for me to cry up in my high-rise than for the people who are actually going through it in the literal mud this rainy season. On the more cuckoo side, a healer literally told me that my body is absorbing too much of the sadness around me in Nairobi - I believe none of us are free of suffering until all of us are. People here work hard and deserve so much more.
