5:33 He definitely slammed it on her foot to wake her ass up lol she needed to realize that pushing Nat into marrying Frank was a terrible idea but at least the door was left ajar so she can do what needed to be done to get her woman back
Okay I am so addicted I watched again. When Olivia says, "I don't want what I can't have." Oh my heart breaks everytime. CC is the best, and the writing is inspired.
Omg, I'm tearing up... That was so sweet and loving. Olivia has truly been transformed by her love for Natalia, and the writing in this scene was beautiful. I think the Nun knew what Olivia was really saying and to state what is the best thing about religion, "God is Love" was such an inspiring msg. GL should so win a GLAAD award. The writers are taking the best parts of religion and love and showing the hopeful and loving side, and not going for the obvious scandelous judgemental view.
I am repeatedly blown away by the care that is going into this story -- amazingly sensitive and astute writing, attention to really subtle details, and of course consistently good acting. So many of you have already spoken so eloquently about this. I'm not saying anything new -- i just wanted to add my voice to the chorus!
I think this might be Olivia greatest show of affection toward Natalia to date--Liv's willingness to learn about her faith is a very big deal and, should Natalia ever find out, it's going to mean a lot to her. That is love.
You are so right, the writers are handling this SO well. They are going to help a lot of religious conservatives come to a better understanding of same sex relationships and families. And people of faith in such relationships. I'm raging atheist but even I think God is Love after all this GL!!! Otalia is Love!!!
haha a nun lol.......I love the nun's face when she said what are you confused about Olivia......omg when she said "I just need to not want what I can't have" wow CC did some amazing acting there 'cause that voice just broke my heart.....it was so sad and desperate but in a good way not a pathetic way.....that nun is way cool.....damn she's the only one that fictional town who can tell Olivia is hurting
Love this scene. Up there with the Doris one as my all time fav. Writing/acting - amazing. Liv is just so beautiful in this. The writers are going for it. How can Nat not love this woman completely?
Olivia asked the nun what was "good"..using the same word Natalia used on the night she said yes to Frank. Funny to see Olivia drink coffee instead of a martini! Great scene between the nun and Olivia....she definitely is pointing Olivia in the right direction. Thank you Otaliafan for the uploads :-)
Wow, simply wow! I'm never going to be able to give up my addiction to this storyline if they keep producing such quality material. Bravo GL. Off to write another letter to the TPTB.
Haha, yeah the script made it sound like some variation of that...but here's something I never thought I'd say, I love this nun! This is a really good conversation for Liv.
I think for Liv, she felt that once she got Nat to marry Frank all of her feelings would stop. Instead, her desires have seemed to continued almost increased. "I need to not want what I cant have!"
Yes! And Frank as the Baroness Schrader! Can't you just see him in that red taffeta gown (ew, maybe not), the feisty Olivia and Emma dressed in 'some old drapes' and Natalia as the Captain hiding her emotions behind routine and bottling her feelings up! Where is that damn pine cone when you need it?!
not sure i'd agree, she was pretty candid with doris, she just ran away when doris tried to help her feel better about her feelings. if she was more open with the nun, it was probably because the nun wouldn't know what she was really talking about... at least that's what liv might assume. though i thought the nun did know.
"God is Love, Olivia, and so are relationships, especially the worthwhile ones." Is that pretty little nun telling Olivia that Love trumps EVERYTHING? Olivia go rescue your fair maiden; she loves you too! GO NOW!!!! LOL
*in her best operatic voice* "Cliimb eeevery mountain, search high and looow, follow eeeeevery rainbow, til you find your dream". Follow that rainbow Olivia coz you alreadty found your dream! Don't throw it away! (ps if anyone were to do a Sound of Music/Otalia fanfic I would luv you forever!)
See, I'm just like Liv. All I think of when someone mentions religion it's the judgmental aspect that I immediately revert to and completely separate myself from it because of that. I'm learning though...and I hope that I can find faith in something and be comfortable with it.
I called GL. Thanks for the number. The lady on the phone was so sweat. I also wrote to them, TWICE. I can't believe that I have actually called and wrote letters to a TV station about a program. That is so out of character for me. I guess like Olivia, love has taken OVER.
Anyone else think Olivia was on some sort of date with the nun? There was strange flirty tension or something going on. I was so extra confused! I run on the treadmill when I watch the show and just about fell off because I was yelling at the screen, "wtf! what is this?! what's going on?!" Actually, this whole ep had me falling off from yelling at the screen... I'm frakkin' sick of seeing Crazy Eyes Furter touch my Natalia... bleck!
Okay I really thought for a moment there that Olivia was on a date with a woman but talking to a nun well that was new. Notice how Frank just wants to shout the exciting news about him and Nat, I am really going to feel so bad for him when Nat and Liv come together.
Ha ha, anyone notice the eyes widened in shock when Frank told Remy and Christina "the good news"! LOL..Nat told Remy like two weeks ago, that she didn't love Frank and had meaningless sex w/ him..and of course Cristina is a regular at the FoL...loved their reaction.. "REALLY?!?..let me see the ring!(what do I say now?)" LOL
Nun's are married to Christ. Depending on the order, Women have a 5 year probationary period to live and serve as nun. During this period, they wear a silver band. After that period, if order and the woman herself choses she can officially become a nun. During the ceremony, she recieves a gold band to signify her devotion and comittment to Christ.
LMAO, I love Olivia, she cracks me up: 'oh, i don't want to be a nun, i love sex!' hahaha, so funny... And I do agree, at the beginning I thought it was like a blind date too, I was like WTF?? cheeky writers did it on purpose :) but I did like how it came out, her talk with the nun..it was touching.
I don't remember the nuns at catholic school looking like Anne.........if they were maybe I would of paid more attention. LoL.......So how do you become one? I don't want to be a nun... I Iike sex....ROFLMAO!!
Alan Spaulding as one of the evil Nazis! Doris could play a double agent Nazi who turns out good in the end! Otalia the Musical!! Lol! They had a Bad Girls the Musical - never saw it unfortunately!
Her willingness to try and understand Natalia’s faith is one of the most romantic things I’ve ever seen on TV.
Of all the possible awkward conversations on the planet..... this has to be right up in the top 10. Poor olivia.

So true bc Liv is clearly an atheist so for her to be taking this step its very huge
Up until this point, I think Olivia is more of an agnostic

the writers continue to blow me away. olivia & the nun, wow, what an incredible scene.
CC is WOW in this scene the way she talks about Nat.
Olivia asked the nun what was "good"..using the same word Natalia used on the night she said yes to Frank. Funny to see Olivia drink coffee instead of a martini! Crystal looks stunning in this scene...I love the detail of Olivia dressed in black and white to meet the nun.
GL surprised me with Olivia seeking a nun out for a serious talk Having Olivia do that instead of Natalia was brilliant.
that's true but I think Olivia was more open with the nun at least emotionally if not verbally

What a fantastic scene with Olivia and the nun. Kudos to the writers for that one.

lol to me it seems like nun anne knew EXACTLY what olivia was going through..she was completely tearing up at one point..
See, I'm just like Liv. All I think of when someone mentions religion it's the judgmental aspect that I immediately revert to and completely separate myself from it because of that. I'm learning though...and I hope that I can find faith in something and be comfortable with it.
wow, bravo to the writers and CC, the nun scene was incredible

Here's a fun fact. Crystal Chappel played a Nun named Maggie Carpenter on One Life To Live while Liz Keifer played a Nun on General Hospital.
I love that scene. I thought of that movie as soon as I read Toepick.
"Oh no, I don't wanna be a nun, I like sex" lol Liv is amazing.
it seems to me that liv is confessing her love for nat to the nun lady
i love this clip. could watch over and over. CC looks gorgeous!
the fact even the none picked on o and n and frank still doesnt well that is just shocking
Anyone else think Olivia was on some sort of date with the nun? There was strange flirty tension or something going on. I was so extra confused! I thought the nun was going to be a internet hookup.
Isn't it funny that Olivia talks to a Nun, and on One Life To Live in the 1990's, she played a Nun named Maggie Carpenter.
"REALLY?!?..let me see the ring!(what do I say now?)"
LOL
is there part 4?
That woman was the best nun ever lol.
Nun's are married to Christ. Depending on the order, Women have a 5 year probationary period to live and serve as nun. During this period, they wear a silver band. you're forgetting doris... she knows all too well how much liv is hurting
I think that was what everyone thought at the time.
I don't remember the nuns at catholic school looking like Anne.........if they were maybe I would of paid more attention.
LoL.......So how do you become one?
I don't want to be a nun... I Iike sex....ROFLMAO!!
omg this is so painful to watch - a nun - it seems like such an uncomfortable blind date at first....
Alan Spaulding as one of the evil Nazis! Doris could play a double agent Nazi who turns out good in the end! Otalia the Musical!! Lol! They had a Bad Girls the Musical - never saw it unfortunately!
Haha I was thinkn she was a call girl
yeah, good points all.
was about to right the same comment about the sex, ha!
OMG toepick!!! lol. So true!!!
i ment nun hihi
Shouldn't this say part 3?
