The bravest Link has ever been in his entire life is captured in this video. The man bit into a slice of tomato. Incredible.
also can't believe this happened
Came here to say this lol ❤🎉
Pray for this man 🙏
So proud of Link! I say the same thing, like a gross cold human organ!!!!! I have been trying to like them though. Good quality tomatoes are good. Heirloom 👍🏻
Amazing
Link ate a tomato AND let Rhett pour milk?! What in the world is going on
Have you been affected by the Mandela effect?
Here GMM is a very serious food review program where Link always eats his Tomatoes. Welcome I guess 😂😂😂
🤣🤣
THATS WHAT I WAS SAYING!!!!!!!! LOL
I live in Taiwan. The humidity here is often 100%. Soaking berries in vinegar 100% increases the shelf life by preventing mold growth.
That’s actually quite fascinating 😊
Is there any other way? And can it be used for other food too?
@@k7l3rworkman97 Ever eaten pickled cucumbers? :P
@@LordDragox412pickles?
I live in Brazil and i thought the vinegar hack was a common thing everywhere
100% humidity? My midwestern american brain can't even compute that. I agree about the vinegar; I use it when washing fruit and veg.
Worked at a fruiterer for a while.
All you gotta do is plasti wrap the water melon and it will stay fresh, no need for the garlic
Remember, they are engineers. I'm never gonna trust an engineer ever again.
Exactly! It just needs an airtight wrap. Storing half a watermelon unwrapped is insane.
This is what I was thinking!
@@LordDragox412I know you’re probably just being funny, but they haven’t been employed as engineers for over a decade. They aren’t engineers and they don’t think like engineers. My parents went to college for film and photography in the 80s. Now they can hardly operate today’s cameras. When you change careers and don’t keep up with it, you lose your qualifications
@@ohrats731 Guess I wasn't funny enough... That's what I get for being an engineer!
Who doesn't put cling wrap on their unused water melon. You don't need garlic just wrap it...
Why. I just set it on a plate, sticky side down and it is fine to store
Even Tupperware like wth ain’t never had no issues
also good
Who leaves unused watermelon?
Yeah i do cling wrap on half and normally eat the 2nd half after a week and it's always fine.
They definitely should have covered a watermelon with saran wrap and no garlic because I'm pretty sure the plastic wrap is doing all the heavy lifting and all the garlic is doing is making it garlicky.
they also should have used milk from the same jug because those dates aren’t exact
Makes you wonder how many other things production has mixed up😂😂
omg😳
What if they're supposed to be called "Link and Rhett" instead but after the mix up they just went with it?
I've always thought this while watching previous episodes. Like there has to be many times they have switched stuff by mistake 💀
Probably a lot but that’s what makes the show good !! 🤣
I was more suspicious of them tasting garlic. After links april fools tests placebo is a real thing. 😅
I 100%, without a doubt, believe Link's Top Milk story about College Rhett. Grownup Rhett tried to explain it away, but I trust that experience is forever stuck in Link's brain. top milk. Rhett!!!!
I can almost see college Rhett explaining top milk you are extremely correct
I love how as Rhett is describing how to "properly" eat a strawberry, Link is next to him just eating it exactly how he always has 😂. The subtle comedy.
You guys should do a segment, at least in a good mythical more, of what is the best stale food taste test. You could call it “we’re stale good!“
I recommend stale graham crackers, they taste the same and somehow it’s just a softer version of the same thing.
Graham crackers do not taste the same when stale, they taste like cardboard 😭
Food Hack: to make more space in your fridge, eat the food currently occupying space.
Hack not accepted: Too much logic detected.
The Watermelon Mix up has me questioning everything I’ve ever seen on GMM
Was the other watermelon covered with plastic? There is no way garlic is gonna make it retain the water better.
They were both supposed to be covered with plastic
That 100% looks like a watermelon that was left exposed to the air
@@michibmoonthey didn't say that
5:47 Rhett being so ready to un-cloche and then slowly and silently putting it back down 😂
As soon as I watched him, I went to look for a comment about it! 😂🤭
Link Neal picking up a plain, raw tomato and taking a bite of it?!?
The hypnosis came back 😵💫
For millions of dollars per year I would eat something I don't like *every single day*.
I was looking for this comment, why is this not a bigger deal!!!!!
You dont have to worry about insurance with Better Help because they dont take insurance.
No more Better Help collabs in 2024, please.
What happened ¿
@@shehannaalharthi9247 They've been exposed for hiring "therapists" in the past who aren't professionally trained/certified
@@shehannaalharthi9247 Privacy breaches, misleading claims, homophobia/transphobia, and the fact that they can’t guarantee that their counsellors are even licensed, to start.
Right. I had to make a comment on this too, I scrolled to find one as well! Thank u for bringing it up
They do not care
Here is to hoping that the GMM and Better Help contract ends with 2023! Lol
Why?
Or you could just focus on yourself rather than what an internet show does
There's alot of people that don't have access to therapy since the pandemic.
Therapist here-better help is like the “Walmart” of therapy options. It’s okay if that’s all you have access to/can afford. There’s even some damn good therapists on better help I’m sure. But there are MANY virtual therapists that can provide way better quality therapy and may also offer payment plans or reduced rates. I love the promotion of mental health the guys do, I just hope they move to a more ethical and quality promotion platform for it.
@wjm21298 do you have any concept of what sponsorships are? like, any at all? or can you just not put 2 and 2 together from there...
May be just covering watermelon with plasti wrap would do the job already
If you worked at ANY small shops that sells watermelon when they are in season you know that all you gotta do is plasti wrap it
Yeah, exactly. It was the plastic wrap that preserved the watermelon, not the garlic.
Maybe.. Cloche it?
Wow I never thought I'd see link willingly try a tomato! Props to him for giving it a try at least!
He has done so multiple times.
Rhett & Link referring to the 'top milk', I've always referred to it as 'side milk', as in the milk that gets dried on around the sides and lid of the bottle. I always decant the milk if it smells to see if it still smells in a new container 👍
Ive never had a gallon go bad. Mainly cause i drink a gallon of milk in 2 days.
@@d3athreaper100 I don't drink it that fast but towards the bottom it can get a bit dodgy
Question: was the non-garlic watermellon wrapped in saran wrap too? Cuz any watermellon covered in saran wrap will "stay fresh for days"
Even the milk "hack", expiration dates aren't a hard limit for shelf life; unsalted milk can also still be fine 5 a couple days after its expiration date
I feel like it was and production didn’t mix them up.
I’m second guessing everything you’ve ever tested because production mixed up the watermelon 😂
the only job where you can intentionally poison your bosses, join the mythical crew today! ;)
“Why would I believe you at the kitchn, you don’t even know how to spell kitchen”
The biggest burn of the century everyone 👏🏻👏🏻
Facts lol😂 that made me laugh
Lol The Kitchn is a company, so it's spelled like that on purpose. He apparently hasn't heard of them
@@hannahcollins1816yeah I think he was being sarcastic haha
Surely the watermelon would just be fresher because of the cling film?
i thought people said better help is not a good therapy model or smth like that
Lots of issues with it. Lots of jokes, too...
I do put my strawberries in vinegar (no lemon juice). It’s always worked for me.
Remember not to renew your contract with Better Help!
I'm liking every comment about this. Tho, I can't believe they don't know yet. 🤨
what happened?
@@ryanfire4176 They share people's info among other things. Look it up. You'll find it.
The strawberry hack is you just soak them for a while then drain the vinegar and lemon so this is a real hack
I’m genuinely confused. That vinegar hack is an old one that found new popularity on TikTok. 😂 I remember my mom doing that when I was a kid and I’m old lol
as someone who also watches how to cook that/ann I knew 90% of these "hacks" online don't work lmao
I like how she often gives alternatives that actually work. She's wholesome af
Yes, that’s what I was thinking as soon as I saw the thumbnail.
Same
Wow! We're really proud of you, Link! 🍅
Seeing you guys do hacks makes me want you to have RUclips food scientist/baker Ann from How to Cook That. After watching her debunk alot of hacks, I'm doubtful about that garlic hack actually working. It could be her assisting them with seeing which hacks are actually good vs ones that are fake. Could be fun and informative!
GMM is quality like always, but I miss the days of Christmas content throughout December. Marathoning old ones made me realize we lost that somewhat!
still don’t understand why they continue to support better help with everything we know about them
I’m guessing they signed a contract so unlikely to see them go away anytime soon
They probably use it too and think it works
I'm 100% betting they have a contract they gotta do for a while
@@indoorgreg7364no they have their own therapists im pretty sure - they talk about it on ear biscuits
Wait what do we know about it?
As someone who also hates tomatoes, I understood EXACTLY what Link was saying at 8:21 😂
13:10 lactobacillus bacteria, needs salt to live. Its also the bacteria that causes milk to go bad. And interesting enough its also the same bacteria that pickles/ ferments vegetables. So yes salt in milk is a bad idea.
She just curdled the milk. Some folks like curdled milk.
Lacto doesn’t need salt to live and reproduce. It really just need fermentable substances and some other nutrients usually sugar. Though most strains are salt tolerant and can survive up to 10% saline solution. So a pinch isn’tof doing much.
Paenibacillus is the predominant species in spoiled milk. So, any talk about lactobacillus in reference to spoiled milk is moot.
@@listondavis Also a good point. And also a salt tolerant bacteria as most bacillus are.
Ok, now you guys have to repeat the garlic experiment. The results were convincing but with 1) a sample size of 1 and 2) with the crew saying it was the other way around, its too intriguing to leave alone like that.
Then again, this should really be resolved by real science but, in the absence of that, two guys on the internet will suffice.
my guess is bc garlic is antibacterial and plastic wrap makes it air tight
No more better help sponsorships in 2024 pls I'm begging
why?
@@Excalibur2their a very bad company I’ve heard that have scammed people and done nothing but harm for people
Yeah why
@Excalibur2 they were fined for sharing user data with third parties like, snapchat and meta tor targeting purposes
@@malaynah554but every app and website does that. Who cares?
I'm so proud of you link for trying those tomato slices!
Link is so adverse to Tomato's he doesnt know that the "the green thing on top" is a stem.
Lemon juice is a preservative, use it on apples to keep them browning as fast, and other fruits
Citrus juices have antioxidant properties.
Milk shouldn't be stored in the door anyway, milk should be in the back where it's coldest, so the hack would be irrelevant if it was stored properly
I think it depends on the fridge. The fridge at my parents house recommends storing milk in the door because of the way it runs.
not necessarily, all my milk is in the door shelf :) depends what make it is i think
this was more important with older fridges that had all the cooling from the same spot and couldn't hold temp as easily, still applies now but it differs wildly from fridge to fridge, mattering more the older the fridge is
If there's ever milk at the back of my fridge, it's the jug I forgot I had, and it expired 2 months ago and is in a solid, bloated, horrifying form.
@@jerotoro2021 free cheese!
Link Neal actually ate a tomato willingly today and it being completely overlooked is crazy

good morning!!
Yall didn't invent the vinegar hack, that's a thing! 😂😂
Considering that Best Before Dates are just estimates and not actual hard science, yeah, don't do the salt milk
I do the salt preventatively & it works.
"Best Before" dates are for optimum flavor/performance. Expiration dates are in regard to spoilage & such.
Love how all these hack videos don't even take a moment to explain why it works. Just do it, don't question, I guess.
They're adamant about the garlic but I could literally see where the garlic cloves were on the garlic watermelon 😂
GOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!! happy humpday!! I hope we all have a fantastic day!!! 😊💗
This is honestly my favorite channel to watch, Rhett and Link are just so funny and wholesome all on their own. Please keep making content because I need it to LIVE ❤
Man nothing better than a fresh tomato just straight up 😍
Respect to link on this one for the tomatoes. Even tho he only did it to give grief 😂😂
My brain almost exploded when Link ate a bite of tomato by itself without being asked to
i’m so impressed by link taking not only one but 2 tomato bites, as a fellow tomato hater
Didn’t better help share people’s info with third parties?
Amongst other issues.
Healthcare needs to include mental health and health needs to be free.
The only one of these I’ve ever heard of is the strawberries in vinegar… I was so confused when y’all said you made that up. My dad saw that online and has done it many times. Haha
I have a feeling the mythical crew was right about which garlic had watermelon and Rhett and Link's brains just tricked themselves
Episode starts at 1:38
Bruh zip it
thank you
I’m happy Rhett finally became a man. 😂 Also, well done, Link, for eating tomatoes today! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Im so glad yall tried this, i have been wanting to see which ones really work
I'm so proud of Link for eating the tomato. He is growing.
I've always been rinsing my fruit in vinegar, i wasn't aware that wasn't known. It definitely helps
Link facing his fear of tomatoes to prove a life hack wrongly.
It makes me happy to see this at quite literally the break of dawn, 3 o'clock
I think the milk tang was just the milk being a lil salty 😂
Best way to start your mornings new GMM episode
Fun fact: ALL strawberries have mold in them as soon as they grow on the vine, HOWEVER the mold is _not_ toxic and it’s safe to eat _until_ it’s visible to the naked eye.
Wish I could unlearn this. ✌️
Final exam in a couple hours, let’s go GMM
Better help still??? Yikes
Preach!
Lmao you sitting on the couch like you know anything about anything.
i’m assuming they have a contract with them unfortunately. hopefully it ends when the year is over
6:59 so you’ll do it now but not when trying one of your closest friends’ favorite foods? Certified Link Moment 🤣✨
I don’t understand why people are surprised by the milk thing, SALT IS THE MOST WIDELY USED PRESERVATIVE
I’m so proud of link for eating that tomato
Great episode guys! To follow up on what Link said at the end about him never meeting another “Link”, in my hometown there is a highway called the “Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway” which since it was built in the 90’s has been known locally as “The Link”.
Lmaooo you from Hamilton ?! 😂
No one calls it the link
Little vinegar and lemon in those strawberries with a boil leads to some decent jam
Good Mythical night from here in Australia! :)
I'm happy seeing people talk about the vinegar hack. I havent done it but I have seen it before and was confused when they said they "made it up"
Good morning everyone! Be your mythical best, today!
Sorry guys but now for every proceeding episode you have to do a small segment called "garlic watermelon" where you guess which watermelon has been preserved in garlic to prove wheter you or the production team was right about this "pilot" of garlic water melon. p.s. results may prove inconclusive
Whoever was spreading that "Link can't taste" rumor, has missed the Super Taste episode because Link exceeded the expectations in that one!
Good night, y’all
Lmao I also thought the guy at the end was in Nashville
Everybody’s so proud of Link eating the tomato willingly but nobody talking about him wiping his tongue with the tissue afterward 😂😂😂
And his eyes as he eats them? 😂🤭😜
And his eyes expression as he eats them? 😂🤭😜
The lemon juice vinegar wash is very common lol it’s a huge craze rn to soak all your produce in berries
Happy finals seasons y’all, may it be my final season.
love how rhett wears the most basic shirts lol
Link has no idea how proud of him we are. Let's all let him know
best way to start my morning
This is the only good part about waking up this early😭
As a picky eater myself, watching link eating that tomato was incredible
I'm gearing up to try to try mushrooms. The whole concept is vile.
I need to grow as a person.... 🍄🤢

i did not think i would log on today to see the amount of progress i saw in Link eating the tomato. Amazing
Bring that good mythical Saturday.
Been starting my day with you guys every day for 3 years now!
