Scolding part I'm not that far in the video yet but the Cub made the mother Sow come strolling back to find food and has no time for fear or play. I hope she doesn't scold her cub too much? well, here it goes about to see the other half.@@Yellowstonewolves
Thank you for the patience to film this and the awesome restraint from talking throughout. It was lovely to hear the water, birds and bears without the constant overtalking that ruins many other wildlife videos...
Thank you so much - I am working on the next one today. It is about an odd male grizzly courting a female who still has her cubs. I should have it out by Friday. Best and thank you for "Cub-scribing"

L'histoire de maman Grizzly et son petit. J'ai adoré! Je la garderais plus longtemps, c'est très intéressant du début à la fin. Je vais revenir la chercher plûtard! Merci! La vidéo est superbe!
Hi Peggy - I have seen them go after goslings but never seem to get close enough to geese. I think they have tried so many time they just realize it’s seldom a successful meal.
I lived at a house w/Australian Swans & the Male was vicious.. He'd fly 4ft off the ground right at your face or he'd grab your groin or butt! Probably why the bear didn't bother w/it.
Interesting assist from the sow while crossing the Lamar. Couldn't help but thinking of how wading anglers use similar strategies to cross rivers. P.S. Terrific video. Stunned by the quality.
@@Yellowstonewolves I did, the sow was right next to it, making sure it got safely to land. I was talking about the part at the beginning of the video.
Correct - 399 is in the Tetons down south and this Bear is in Yellowstone. I don't know if this bear has been numbered by biologist or not. I was about 180 Yards from them, I never want to get close enough to change their behavior because what I want to watch most is just that, their natural behavior. I am not a photographer waiting for a perfect picture.
fascinating! i don't think i've ever seen a wild animal mother 'scolding' a young one before.
I had not like that either, it was a bit rough.
Mama Bear knows her kid is an idiot.
Another Great Video!! A larger Cub could be such a chicken crossing the river? lol @@Yellowstonewolves

Wonderful video! Thank you! Does anyone know why she didnt go after the Canada goose near the beginning? Do they not eat geese?

That was so cute and awesome how the mom was clearly mad at the cub for not following, and made sure he was scolded
Wow. Great capture. What do you use to record up close? Just subscribed.
Thank you - I use a scope and 4/3 camera. This way I don't change their behavior by having them focus on me. Hope you Cub-scribe!

Is 399 still around? How many cubs this spring?
399 is still around but down in the Tetons and not YNP. She was last seen with one cub this year. Please don't forget to subscribe.
@@Yellowstonewolves oh that's right, she's a GTNP bear, thanks for letting me know. I am subscribed.

at first I thought I was looking at a herd of Grizzlies! Then realized they were Bison once zoomed in
