One of the finest Violas Ive heard! You got it right! Makes.me want to defect to Viola. Bravo! Bellisima! Dont change a thing! Keep making those! I can only hope to own one of your Violas one day. Beautiful varnish! Andrea Guarnieri would be proud of you!❤
Thank you so much for your kind words and enthusiasm! It means a lot to hear such appreciation for my work, especially from someone so inspired by the viola’s voice.🎻
Thank you so much, Peter! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the first notes of this viola. Stay tuned for more videos on my crafting process and future creations!
As good as it is while new, it can only get better with age. Although we can't be certain, Guarneri's instruments probably sounded the same as yours when themselves new. May I suggest you look into some of New Zealand's native timbers for instrument making and especially, fossilised Kauri gum for your varnish?
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I completely agree-there’s something truly special about how an instrument’s sound evolves with time. I appreciate your suggestion about New Zealand’s native timbers and fossilized Kauri gum for varnish; I’ll definitely look into it!
