its nice to see Hot Toys has made a few improvements and realized that hair actually has to be cut realistically. Not a Hot Toys thing but a movie creative choice, those heels!!!

You're right but the headsculp is a big downgrade compared with the likeness of the first one.
I have the first one and this sculpt and paint shop seem less than the original.

Being a massive fan of Anne's version of Catwoman,I really can't wait to get this. The body looks very thick and is sexier than the first version. And although the head sculpt may not be perfect,but it looks enough like Anne for me.

I have the Infinity Studios life-size Hathaway Catwoman bust but I'm still glad I'll be getting this one too despite the head sculpt being off. Hathaway simply does NOT have a jaw that wide. Any way you slice it, it's not a great likeness. But I love everything else about the figure and that awesome base and excellent box art.

I definitely get the complaints about the figure. It mostly looks great, but something about the head's proportions, expression, and that hairline that makes her look like a Barbie doll with a repainted face. I thought maybe the poses at the end would help reduce the Barbie-ness, just from showing the articulation, but it doesn't quite make it out.

Nice review. I agree that the head sculpt is way off. I have watched other reviews and almost all of them said the material is pleather. Is there any confirmation what the material is?

Aside from the hair, I’m quite happy with the OG. But I do like the improvements here. I don’t think I’ll upgrade though, because that display base is enormous

Bringing the goggles down/off definitely improves the likeness from what I can tell in this video.
Also, that display base is an amazing addition to this figure, especially considering the fewer number of accessories.

I do see the likeness in the head sculpt! It makes me happy that the suit is not made of pleather, so I might add her to my collection 😍 I just feel like the new one is not skinny like Anne, her thighs are too thick, but I like how tall she looks

If your doing a 2.0 the figure should be a vast improvement, unfortunately all I can see is HT's cutting corners, which is not acceptable to the paying consumer! I will stick with the original, holds up well, no peeling issues with the cold climate! Great review Justin, thank you!

Your video is much clearer than the other videos. I'm sold on her. I will spend the $290 for her on sideshow. I wished she didn't come with the set pieces though. Might have reduced the price if they sold only the figure. A catwoman without a whip is weird.

I’d still get this but I would get a custom head sculpt. In my opinion the head looks to big for the body and it’s very annoying! Great video!

Great video, I appreciate your honesty in your figure reviews, as some other individuals claim the figures are perfect when they are not. Considering the price of these figures, I believe Hot Toys should do a better job, especially with the head sculpts.

What I found to be the problem with the head sculpt has more to do with the hair, out of the the box it’s pressed down flat which makes the figure’s head look wider than it should be, but once you slide her hair up a bit letting the goggles hold it in place not only makes it as poofy as in the movie but, makes the face look a lot slimmer and more like Anne; which is why taking her goggles off allowing her hair to poof up a lil bit helped with her appearance I think, also a Robin style mask like that dose an unexpectedly good job of distorting someone’s face in the first place.

I love the box art. The diorama display base looks great and I love the fact that it's customizable. The jumpsuit is a huge improvement when compared to the original release. The hair is a nice improvement as well. However, the head sculpt just doesn't look like Anne Hathaway, especially without the cowl mask. I have the original figure that I bought over a year ago. I honestly think that Anne Hathaway's likeness looks better, but that's just my opinion. However, the pleather ended up flaking a little bit just recently. Its been in the box ever since I bought it. All I did was take it out of the box and slightly run my finger on the arm and the material started to flake. Granted, my finger was really dry, but still. Mostly likely, I'll end up sticking with the original release instead of buying the 2.0 version. I'll just have to be more careful next time. You definitely hit the nail on the head when you said that a head sculpt will either make or break a figure. That's especially true for expensive collectibles like Hot Toys figures. For almost $300, Hot Toys could've done a much better job with this one, but they didn't. I'm sure that they're capable of doing so much more. It's also worth mentioning that I'm getting really tired of the cardboard backdrops that Hot Toys have been utilizing for such a long time. They were fine at the beginning, but they feel cheap nowadays. Otherwise, solid review once again! Thanks, Justin! I really appreciate it! God bless and stay safe!

Interesting that this figure was harder to "read" in that white box than the recently review Padme in that white outfit. (that was a great review btw)
As for this one, I have it on order but am still uncertain. Just not entirely sold here. As you pointed out, she's pretty generic & doll-like in that portrait. Still on the fence. Thanks for the look!

Yeah... I'm not loving that headsculpt. It kind of has a 3rd party headsculpt feel to it, if that makes any sense. The promo pictures were helluvalot better, that look I would've been perfectly fine with. Buut, I don't think it's so bad to the point of it being a dealbreaker. Everything else look really good to me. Might wait for a sale. Thanks for the review!

I’m excited to get her despite all of the things that went wrong or could have been better with this release unfortunately I never had a chance to get the 1.0 and I was not missing out on this especially with the new 2.0 bane and artisan joker to fill out the Batman display I think in that sense she is perfect the likeness is questionable but still gets the job done for me also love the updates to the body and suit I’m going to play it safe for now and keep the goggles on but happy to hear that the instructions are a little much great review as always! Ps. Surgery went well on the road to recovery 🙏🏽
She is still a decent figure and has a spot on my shelf :)
Got her yesterday afternoon, I purchased through Ebay shipping directly from Hong kong and it costed me nearly 400 dollars in USA. As a woman, I think this figure is horrible, just a female point of view, no judging! Something is missing as a female vigilante. When I took her mask off, OMG, Anne Hathaway looks kind of old and tired a little bit. I really like Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman, lethal and sexy and full of energy. I kind of regretted of purchasing this one.

For $290 + shipping and tax, they could've done better with the headsculpt. It saddens me because I canceled once the final production photos showed up. Don't know if I'll ever have a better Catwoman in my collection as desired. But to each their own. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone getting it if they want it.

@@JustinsCollectionwell I stand corrected. Right out of the box the goggles are bent to hell, then a part falls off the goggles where I see a dab of glue they used to try and hold it together. Where her head meets her hair is probably the worst I’ve ever seen. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time and what a piece of garbage

You're Spot on Justin. I agreed with all the way. Hot Toys has done their very best so far. The Improvements looked noticeable. They gave her a Unreal, almost realistic Taller Body. Instead of Pleather, they made a special type of stretching Material, so the Figure could move freely. Not mentioning Hot Toys also made a New Fabulous Display Base Diorama as well. You're also 💯% right. It's not Perfect. The big problem was the Headsculpt. The Likeness was kind a off. It doesn't looked exactly like Anne Hathaway. Just a little bit with the Mask off. In the Future, Hot Toys should hire a Real Professional Artist, who knows how to take his or her Job very seriously. I'm sure he or she is somewhere out there, from China or Japan. Great Amazing Video as always. 🤩🤩🤩👍👍

Never got the insistence of some that "you can't remove the goggles" as Catwoman she never takes them off!!! Unless you gonna kitbash a Selina then take it off, but we ain't here to fuck spiders and leave the mask on😎. Like this 2.0 gonna upgrade this one.

@@AB-pg1miHollywood trickery. It's all in the camera angles, but I like accuracy and they are the height they actors are. Hardy stands close to Bale and they are similar in height and Bale is 6 feet tall.

Don't buy any products from Pop Collectibles! I have been waiting for an item since August of 2023 and on their site they stated the product would be shipped within a month of the order. I have made contact with them a number of times to be told it would be shipping that same week, guess what? Still don't have the item nearly 8 months later! Now they ignore any attempt of contact. Dean Knight had some flaking on the elbow. The jawline needs to be narrow, her face looks round. I've got mine on the way. It will be my first female figure.
